Unlike her companion Leopold, Solette volunteered for the genetic testing completely voluntarily. Beforehand, she was a soldier, defending her country with all she had. Though she suffered no physical wounds, she always carried the guilt that her ability to defend her fellow man were so severely lacking. The facility gave her a way to improve herself, though she knew very little of their real practices.

They gave her the choice, as she was a volunteer and needed very little persuasion, of splicing her genes with the of a Blue Spotted Salamander. With this, she was given the ability of regeneration, and increased speed in the water. Other features of hers include blue spots all over her skin, the need to keep her skin well moisturized, a strong lizard's tail and blue hair and eyes.

Through her time in containment at the facility, Solette grew to realize the abhorrent practice of the laboratory workers and the true suffering experienced by people who were not volunteers (as she was told they were.) She would often become quite hostile with workers, earning Roam's respect in the process, as well as Leopold's trust as she refused to cooperate after learning of their scandalous ways. Once the facility was attacked and Roam was severely injured in saving the subject's lives, Solette assisted in getting him help to save his life.

She often feels a sense of guilt as she'd not been the least bit suspicious of the facility and their practices until being ensnared in them herself. She feels as though she no longer deserves the abilities she has, as they were given by means which caused the suffering of many others. She, along with Roam and Leopold, gathered together with their now enhanced abilities, to oppose the facility from reopening, as their methods are inexcusable. She found that, as a soldier, it was her duty to destroy such a great threat to her country's people, and she will not rest while they still live.
