“Honestly, I just want to stop thinking for a few hours. I don’t know if I can, but I’m willing to try.” Gwen told her friend before she let a brief yet soft chuckle escape her lips. So much had happened lately. She had lost her father, and Peter had almost broken up with her -- or he had done it for few days. She wished her life could feel PEACEFUL, even if it was just for a short while. And usually, having a friend around was supposed to help in such situations. “So I suggest we eat some ice cream and then we could have a really, really long walk or we can watch a movie ? I don’t really mind.”

there’s a touch of panic at the insistence, the determination. so he quickly fumbles within his pockets to find his phone - but it isn’t there. he holds up a single finger, a signal for her to wait, then he swings his backpack around and unzips it. his hand disappears into the backpack and he pulls out his phone, then passes it over to her with a soft smile. ❝ uh - there. sorry but - what’s the rush? ❞
