Blacksnarl was never the nicest cat, and had even hurt his own clanmates before. He disrespected clan borders and rules often, but always bowed to Scorchstar, his leader and former mentor, albeit reluctantly. He wasn't ambitious, but he definitely didn't have his clan's best interests at heart, and only ever looked at for himself.
He got with Nettlemoon because he liked how she did what he wanted, but soon became fed up with her when she started demanding for his attention and love back. They had kits together, but by then they were no longer mates. Blacksnarl interacted with his kits, Fleetkit and Tawnykit, the bare minimum, and they were usually bad interactions as he hated kits, and wouldn't refrain from criticize or demeaning them. He went on to mate with a cat outside the clans, and it is unknown if they were a kittypet, loner, rogue or other. He was there for the birth of their kits, in which the mother and the other kits died, save for Rosekit. He decided to take Rosekit back to camp and dumped him on Pool, the only nursery queen at the time. Like with Fleetwhisker and Tawnyswipe, he did not raise her much. Nettlemoon played a bigger paw in raising Rosebird than him.
When he got Ferretpaw as an apprentice, he pushed the tom far in training, and was incredibly harsh on him, both verbally and physically, to the point of scaring his apprentice's ear permanently. Ferretpaw always aimed to impress Blacksnarl, and admired him despite his abuse and hatred of him.
When he died, the clan mourned him, but was relieved such a mean tom was gone from their ranks. He went to the Dark Forest, and rots there bitterly. Occasionally, he joined Goosestar to train younger cats, but only for the purpose of hurting and berating them, since it gives him something to do.

Fun Fact: Strikeheart and he, despite both being terrible fathers, were not friends. In fact, Strikeheart hated Blacksnarl for not following the code.
