I get the strange sense that a lot of folks on tumblr are in a sort of imaginary community with one another. as though they’re all banded together in solidarity through performative shows of internet activism. like people that wouldn’t even say “hi” to each other in real life much less organize politically together in real life. and ya know, it’s kind of getting on my nerves. bc nothing changes. y’all keep taking about how your going to shoot down every bad guy you disagree with then reblog something about how punitive justice is bad. look Ik there’s a lot of kids on here too, and figuring out what is a productive way to behave and communicate can be difficult, but at the same time I think theres a lot of growing up to do. mainly tired of the performative activists and their performative outrage over things that either aren’t that important, don’t even affect them, and that they do absolutely nothing to effect change on irl.
