44 track album
This is a really cool thing:
Kevin Bogart, a member of Boston punk band Trophy Lungs, organized this massive (44 tracks!) punk mixtape to benefit Black Lives Matter, an organization "working for a world where black lives are no longer systematically or intentionally targeted for demise". Given recent events, I don't think the importance and urgency of this issue can be overstated.
You can follow the link above to check out the album, which includes a number of Boston bands like Defeater, Choke Up, and Trophy Lungs (of course), as well as notable acts from around the country such as The Holy Mess, Elway, and Banquets. It's available as a "name your price" download, and all proceeds will go directly to Black Lives Matter.
