This is Mistral, a little Mantyke who ended up stuck in a pond after some very unfortunate events.

He yearns to go home to the ocean where his family are, but first has to rise to the challenge of traversing land as a water-borne ‘mon! 🌊

He is friends with my other OC Frond!

I will be doing artfight again this year!! I've added some of my more recent OCs to my profile and im excited to draw!! :D

I'll be prioritizing revenge art this year but honestly if i spot some OC designs i really love i might feel inspired to draw them anyways ahahaha xD

Ahhh i'm super psyched to see Rhodonite and Blue Sandstone especially now we know who fuses to make them!! I've been doing some theorising with a friend lately and we also wanted to make a guess for Lightning Ridge Blue Opal as a Luffy and Franky fusion? I hope you don't mind ^-^'

hehe I’ve been seeing some tags indicating you and zzzbraaa are at least working together to unravel this multi-limbed mess :D

we don’t mind people guessing at all! We actually try to encourage you all to guess!! We are very curious about this and it’s not really going to spoil much anything.  (we do tag these as fusion guessing if it bothers anyone though)

and yep, that is luffy and franky fusion. I wasn’t very subtle with that silhouette either, whoops

4:  What’s your favorite line of dialogue?

4: What’s your favourite panel?

Hmmm… It is a draw between the panel of Zoro and Nami falling into water and Varis lifting the chair. I really like the atmosphere in both! While the Nami and Zoro one is calm and beautiful, the one with Variscite is kind of drawn from a downward point of view where she looks even more intimidating with that grin of hers

7: Was there any alternate or abandoned scenes?

The first scene was re-written a bunch of times, I wanted to make it perfect before releasing it. Also Usopp’s past was going to be covered by the group, sitting around a fire while the Sunny was being built. But it felt too much like telling and not showing so I scrapped it.

By some miracle I haven’t had to re-do that many panels. Sometimes I scratch the panel because the pose is awkward or the placing doesn’t work, but that is usually at a very early stage (really raw sketching).

This panel got scratched because liz got an idea for usopp’s shadow showing her former amethyst form. The final version is below.

Loved LOVED the first chapter!!! The writing is amazing and the art is so beautiful! I gotta ask in light of the mention in the chapter tho, is Franky a Star Sapphire?

The two of us have decided on a current policy of answering these if they’re right so... yes! Franky is indeed a star sapphire and is a frankly SUPER one at that!
