          “uhh…” you’re the one who turns into a bird man, how can you of all people not know, dumbass? shrugs loudly and frowns at sun. he never questioned it, qrow’s just glad he doesn’t shift back to a person naked - in all honesty. imagine how embarrassing. not that he has even a single shred of self respect left at this point. but y’know. principle.

so this isnt about nora at all but i thought of somethin great sun and nep doin their own junior detective version of the team rocket motto thing whenever they show up literally anywhere together

she doesn’t say anything at first, doesn’t even really register that he’s there. she’s too focused on her son, still sleeping soundly despite her picking him up and holding him close to her for dear life, as if it was the last time she’d ever get to. when she does finally realize sun’s near she reaches a hand out and grasps hold of his arm almost tightly and her hand shakes somewhat as she does, adrenaline still pulsing through her veins. she lifts her head enough to press her lips to the top of her son’s head, quietly whispering “i’m fine,” over and over again, like some sort of mantra. finally she takes in a deep breath and slowly releases it, an attempt to calm herself, before looking over at sun. 

“it’s okay, i’m fine. promise.”
