she wanted to show him her greenhouse and extra gardening space on his next visit to the fisker home that hid between mountains and forest. so, here was the demon king, standing within melody’s greenhouse, forest green eyes taking in the various colors of the flowers, even lingering a few terracotta pots that seemed to be decorated by her precious daughter. truly a space befitting of a fairy of the earth; a space where she could thrive and be herself. how nice, he thought, it’s something she deserves after the endless amount of suffering she was put through.
mephisto stopped short of one of the tables, movement and little voices pulling his eyes away from the wide array of flora, his gaze going down to the floor. oh, how it took everything within him to not break out into a fit of laughter, or even allow a toothy grin to infect his features.
“ how aware are you of the little demons hiding out in your garden, my dear ? “ mephisto commented as he watched the small greenman demons bustle about, a few tripping over the slightly raised floor, while another ended up falling onto his shoe, the docile demons treating melody’s greenhouse like their own private, miniature forest. the sight amused him, but he supposed it was only natural for these lower levels to hide away in a fairy’s garden, where they were not only protected by the fairy herself, but also her fearsome wife.
