Mariella Paintwing is a second year at PHA and was sorted into Rainbopia. She is a butterfly fairy from the fairy kingdom of Solmere. She is shy and quiet, but will speak up if need be. She loves to read and dreams of having her own library one day. She can recite any book she's read and devours books daily. She has a pet Puffball named Bee who came with her from her home.
She was recommended by the Queen of Solmere, Yasmine, to come to PHA as an ambassador after she saved her life. When she first arrived, she had a hard time adjusting to how humans lived and made many errors, but she learned with the help from Professor Lazuli and Alena, who she sees as a friend.
She had a hard time getting along with her roommate, Tatiana, at first, but they found a common ground, their love of books. Their friendship soon blossomed and now their dorm room is filled to the brim with books from the library.
