The basic premise is that your pinky finger has a small thin ring that acts as a small manifestation of the string connecting you to your soulmate. The main idea is that the ring gets warmer the closer you are to finding your soulmate, and If the bond is accepted by both parties, it thickens as if both soulmate rings are side to side, kinda becoming a twist of both soul rings.
For indviguals with awakened soulmates, it glows the color of their partners mana,The brighter it can glow, the more powerful the soulmate is. Usually, for regular unawakened individuals it's just a thin grey band. In the events that the soulmate dies, the ring turns black.
Honestly, I'd imagine there would be a market for gloves that cover the pinky specifically because of hunters and regular civilains wanting to keep their soulmate status private or for safety.. what about ones that reduces the feeling of the soul bond?Using mana crystals to negate the heat or the brightness of the soul rings, so it isn't distracting??
General Ideas:
Childhood friend reader, looking at their fingers suddenly to the soulmate rings glowing.. oh its fine, they must be a hunter and just awakened. but then reader realizes that the colour of the ring is a verry familiar color...the one of their best friends...
Maybe even poly. Like imagine having not one soulmate but TWO AWAKENED. Sure its not common but it happens, so reader covers it ans goes on their day.. untill one day your watching a broadcast with two very specific hunters. Their eyes glowing verry familiar colours... the ones you see everyday. On your pinky.
Imagine like your childhood friends as a soulmate so you try to get rid of your soul mark forcibly because you don't want to be a burden.!! Imagine the angst potential of your soulmate catching you trying to cut off their "tie to fate" because of insecurities.
OR OR!! Imagine the agony of watching your soul ring go black.. Even worse if it's an awakened soulmate, meaning they died on a raid.
Character Specific Ideas:

You stare in horror, but in an instant it flicker back to normal. Over the course of weeks you notice that the mana changes from its regular blue to a shade of purple.. like WTF??? Is he okay???... It isn't untill after everything you see Zhigang staring at you with an unreadable expression a contrast to his usual self assured confident. Hope you all enjoy reading this Thomas Andre x Reader fic :D
City sky-lines turned to country roads, which eventually turned into desolate desert views where only once every three hours another car would pass. Even those faded away into naught as Thomas kept driving.
You’d given up on asking where the two of you were going..
He’d invited you to come somewhere with him to see something, and you got used to being dragged along to these kinds of things. They were usually nice surprises, something to make-up for the time spent apart, so you tried not to make a big deal out of him not taking your schedule seriously.
Deep down you were kind of nervous this was a big set-up for a proposal. You’d been dating for quite a while and it would make sense. Living together had been as easy as breathing after all and taking you somewhere special to propose seemed like something he might do.
You weren’t sure you’d say yes though.
While he was absolutely amazing, there were certain facets of your relationship that you weren’t sure you’d be able to handle for the rest of your life. His job as a guildmaster and national ranked hunter swallowed up nearly all of his time, leaving you with the scraps he had left over.
You weren’t unaccustomed to eating alone and spending entire days cooped up, but the days got longer and the effort you put into it all got less. It was hard to cook up a full meal when you knew the person you were cooking it for wouldn’t even be able to take a bite.
But honestly, you loved him dearly, and you were sure you’d be able to handle just that. The two of you had made it so far, so why not a few years more? Why not forever?
It was rather the fact that lately, you’d surprised yourself in your slowly growing fear of him.
S-rank hunters were a breed of themselves, and you’d known how strong he was through videos you’d seen online and small things he did in day-to-day activities. Tearing out a sick tree in your garden with roots and all, lifting you up like you weighed absolutely nothing and even once lifting your entire car to see if you’d dropped your keys below.
One small incident of him accidentally breaking your leg when you were going out with friends, changed the innocent nature a bit. You believed wholly it was an accident, Thomas promised it had been, but what if he accidentally hurt you more than that? What if he turned around in his sleep and just killed you?
You’d never voiced these concerns to him, hoping you would be able to learn to deal with it.
The only one you’d spoken to about it was an old friend, with whom you’d had long conversations with surrounding the topic. You didn’t mean to vent as much as you had, but it was so nice to finally get all of it off your chest.
A week later that friend had died. He had accepted a porter job in a gate, and had gotten himself killed. You were just glad you’d had Thomas to support you when you found out, though you felt guilty taking up his entire free day with your grief.
It had been nice though.
“Do you need to talk about it?”
“Nah, i’m fine.” You whispered, despite melting into the hug a bit too much. He was just so warm, familiar and firm around you and you needed that right now. Talking about it would only make you cry again, and you wondered if there was anything left to say at all anyway. You wanted to just enjoy the comfort of this moment for now. “Can we just stay like this for a while?”
You heard a soft chuckle. “Not like this I’m afraid, leaning down this much is hurting my back.” Strong, large arms that had already been wrapped around you in embrace lifted you up and sat you down on his lap, letting you curl up in his arms without him needing to bend down. “But this’ll do the trick.”
Leaning forward, you removed your cramped new shoes and threw them on the floor. “Thanks.”
“You,” He said, adjusting his grip so the both of you were more comfortable. “Never have to thank me for anything.”
It was quiet for a while, but despite the fact that you had just said you didn’t want to talk, and even thought there was nothing left to say, new thoughts kept bubbling up. “It’s just... what was he doing in an A-class dungeon? He was barely a D-rank. I don’t think he was struggling with money? He never told me anyway-”
“If you want, I can check the records again?” Thomas lied, knowing that whatever had been put in those records would never see the light of day again.
The words ‘guildmaster decapitates the porter’ would, after all, cause quite a stir.
“No, no, thank you.” You said, smiling sadly up at him in gratitude. “If it had been something suspicious you probably would’ve known already, so I think he was just being stupid.”
Thomas pressed your face against his chest, something which looked like a way to comfort you in your loss, but was rather a way to hide the slight grin that grew on his face at your words.
Rachel had advised him to stop doing his little trick of dragging anyone he didn’t want in your surroundings into dungeons to kill them. She worried you would become suspicious and freak out, though Rachel clearly underestimated how much you loved him, since you’d never even suspected him.
Your talks of getting scared of him had also drastically reduced ever since your confidant had died, so his trick seemed to do just fine.
Why change a winning recipe?
“It’s only five more minutes.” He lit up a cigarette while driving, the windows open to let out the smoke. “We’re nearly there.”
“Nice.”
You looked around, only seeing desert landscape as far as the eye could see. Maybe there was a building behind one of the hills? Or maybe the location had some sort of emotional importance to him and he wanted to propose here because of it?
As you continued to reminisce, you made up your mind.
You would say yes.
He’d been there for you throughout the years, and what kind of a partner would you be if you’d leave him for things he couldn’t control. He was a national level hunter for crying out loud, the fact he even made time to see you and take you on trips like these was amazing enough. It was proof that he cared.
Now that you decided you would say yes, your mind immediately flew to other matters, like what you would wear and who you’d invite. Would it have to be made into a big deal because of his status or could you keep it small and private? What kinda-
The car stopped.
You looked around and spotted a small hut, which looked like it had been used for storage maybe decades ago. You looked at Thomas, who had already stepped out, and followed suit. He threw his cigarette in the sand and walked toward the hut, his hands in his pockets.
“Why did we come here?”
“You’ll see.”
Now you were getting a bit impatient. “Come on! We’ve been driving for so long, why are we here?”
This didn’t seem like a meaningful location at all, and you slowly began to realize your romantic anticipation might have been a bit of an assumption. You wouldn’t let it ruin your mood. You wouldn’t. Wouldn’t.
Your mood was ruined.
At his lack of answer, you silently trailed behind, your hands also in your pockets to hide the tight way they clenched.
“This,” He finally said as the two of you reached the hut, his fingers curling around the wooden door to open it. “Is one of the few bunkers that could take a atom bomb face first and come out without a scratch.”
You looked at the rickety planks, and heavily doubted that. “Uhuh.”
Thomas laughed at your unimpressed look, and opened the door, revealing a bunch of junk, planks and whatnot, covering a small hatch in the floor. You, still not impressed, stepped forward to look closer.
As you did so, you were scooped off the ground. Thomas held his free hand by the hatch, a bracelet he’d been wearing lighting up a few sensors next to it, the heavy metal opening automatically.
“Hey, hey!” You objected as Thomas cleared the planks and junk surrounding the opening, stepping inside and carrying you in with him. “I can walk by myself.”
“I know.” He said, his smile as wide as could be. You couldn’t get yourself to be on board with his enthusiasm, your disappointment still too fresh to be merry. There was a steel ladder that went way down, and you resigned yourself to your ragdoll fate and let yourself be carried down, though begrudgingly.
On the way, you just buried your face in his shirt, enjoying the familiar smell of expensive after-shave and tabbaco. You were a bit angry with him, but the intimacy of getting carried and held was still nice.
“This place is pretty high-tech. Twentyfour-seven camera footage, locks that are only able to be opened by these bracelets and a whole lot of other mechanics.”
“Uhuh. Still haven’t explained why we’re here.”
As the two of you reached the bottom, you were finally let down on the ground, your fingers still lightly holding on to the hawaiian shirt he was wearing.
“Three gates have opened in your hometown.”
“And? That happens all the time.”
“Y/n. They opened.”
Oh.
After seven days, if a gate wasn’t closed, monsters came spilling out of the gates, often ending up in thousands of casualties. The only way to get rid of them then, was to eradicate them and close off the gate. The idea of three entire gates opening in your hometown meant disaster.
Your eyes widened. “Wha-What are we doing here then? Shouldn’t... Shouldn’t we do something? Evacuate people or something?”
He grabbed your arm and dragged you through the sterile corridor, his firm pace barely registering that you were not cooperating. As soon as you were pushed through a door, which closed behind you with a slam, he turned to you again with a serious expression.
“I don’t expect you to understand.” He said grimmly, a frown tugging at his expression. “But I need you to stay right here. What you just said is exactly why we’re here. You don’t go anywhere near gates. You especially don’t go anywhere near opened gates, you hear me?”
“So we drove here all this way... not-” for you to propose to me? “...Just so you can lock me up here?”
“See, babe.” He grinned again and grabbed your face, making you look around the room. It was like a small appartment: a kitchen, bathroom, livingroom and bed all crammed into thirty square feet or so. Disappointment coursed through you, disappointment in yourself that you let yourself fall for a man that would do something like this. You’d known he was a tad intense at times, but this was something else.
Thomas didn’t seem to agree. “This isn’t so bad! I’ll clean up the remainders of those gates in the next few days and you can sit tight here.”
The thought of being stuck here was terrifying enough, but another fear suddenly crept up in the back of your mind. “Wait... Did you get out my family?”
He clicked his tongue. “Well. I gotta go. See you soon.”
“Thomas! You’re not serious right? Did you really-” Panic overtook you. There wasn’t a single awakened in your family. They would be fucked. Tears welled up in your eyes, clearly making Thomas uncomfortable. “Please tell me you didn’t leave them.”
“See. If I had told you this before we left, you would’ve run straight into danger.” Thomas wrapped his arms around your waist, ignoring your weak punches to his chest.
Thomas smiled at you, despite your burning glare, and bent down to kiss you. You could do little but comply, the pressure he exerted on your skin enough to make you gasp out. He let go as soon as he was satisfied. “I do really have to go, so you just stay here and be good.”
Usually you would’ve jumped up and kissed him again, burrying your hands in his hair as if it would be the last time you’d ever see him, often because that was what you feared. Now, you could do nothing but cry as he walked out, a casual wave your way as his final greeting.
Ok last I checked your askes are always kinda open so if that is wrong & they're closed pLEASE ignore me. BUT could we please haves some hcs or scenario what ever you're feeling for what thomas andre is like as a yandere? Literally what ever comes to your mind I would be so greatful for. I cRave yandere for this dude. 😭😭😭😭😭
Okay so we know a few things about him, which I’ll list here so people can be up to date on his character without reading 180 volumes for five panels of screentime of Thomas.
In the solo-leveling world, there are gates that release monsters into the world if not destroyed in 7 days. To go into these gates and destroy them, hunters guild have been set-up. Humans that have been born with certain skills or magic are qualified to become a hunter and work with closing these gates, which is highly dangerous but also profitable.
So now for Thomas Andre.
He’s the guild master of the Scavenger Guild and one of the top-five hunters in the world, ranked as a national level hunter, meaning he could go toe to toe with a nation's entire military and win. He’s a tank, capable of dealing and receiving a lot of damage. He has very strong camaraderie for his guild, though he rules through overwhelming power, thus also believing that power is the only true driving force of authority (therefore not respecting authority without power).
Because of that, he’s kind of an ass to anyone not his level of strength, and even refrains from participating in raids/fights if there is no financial goal to be made (he stated South-Korea in its entirety did not have enough capital to hire him)
So! What does this mean for his s/o?
If his s/o is strong, he might have a modicum of actual respect for them (though only 4 people in the entire world have been able to reach this strength) so most likely, he doesn’t at all. He might like them for their personality and looks, but instead of trying to get together with his s/o normally, its more likely he’ll feel entitled to their attention and affection as soon as he’s decided he wants them.
National level hunters also have a different legal status, meaning they can just get away with murder and other crimes since there’s nothing a nation can do to even try to stop them. Thomas refrains from taking advantage of this too many times (a day) but it’s not like anyone will care if some civilian or small-time hunter goes missing, and no one would dare point fingers at him.
I see him as a very belittling yandere, as in he doesn’t respect his s/o’s autonomy and wishes at all, only seeing them as ways he can pacify you. You have wanted to be a doctor all your life? So cute, he’ll get you a nice post somewhere close to him. You want to study something or just work less? He’ll support you financially and make sure nothing in your life bothers you.
It might sound nice, but it comes at a steep price, as it only feeds his entitlement more. If you at one point decline his help, or even worse, straight up leave, he gets angry and just locks you in a room of his house. His help and support was highly conditional, and you just chose wrong.
From the minute you rebel even slightly, his approach completely changes as he’s done pretending to care about what you want. What you desire isn’t important, what you should desire is.
Once you’re in his grasp, Thomas just constantly belittles you and overpowers you in every way (dragging you through the house whenever he wants, casually lifting you up, holding you so tightly you think you might pass out whenever you bring too much sass and fucking you against the wall whenever he wants).
Your body and mind are entirely his from that point, and he’ll physically punish you if you stray from that image. He wants you to act cheerful and happy when he’s there, happily responding to his affection and falling to your knees whenever he wants.
Though having you cry for him is also a thing Thomas doesn’t necessarily... dislike.
