so idk if AUs are accepted for the Magi Event but I saw Alma Torran and was like 'Yeah this is a good excuse to draw/lore dump Solominis'

This is Solominis Judar and Aladdin during the final arc when they both start dressing more like culture :>

If you don't know what Solominis is, it's essentially my AU where Judar is the bastard child of Solomon and Arba, he switches roles with Aladdin in the storyline and his one goal is to protect his younger half-brother Aladdin grew up in the Kou Empire under Gyokuen/Arba's guidance and almost fell in depravity several times only for Judar to drag him back into the light

I find it funny how in this au I characterize Judar as generally sweet and loving towards Aladdin but in canon he's a humongous prick 😂

why you gotta put non-depraved judar out there and give me thoughts like "dang I wonder if canon!judar is ALSO sweet and loving at his core and really Wants to be that way but has been so mangled by arba that he just CAN'T, so he plays up being a jackass instead because it's like, easier or whatever (also because that way he doesn't have to acknowledge the fragile, vulnerable part of him that so desperately wants to reach out to love and be loved. especially to aladdin, despite his best efforts. his soul calls out for that one in particular's for reasons he may never truly understand, but sometimes he dreams of what it'd be like to have a mom and a dad and a little brother. and the little brother's face is always the blurriest, but there's something familiar about his laugh as he tugs judar along towards their next adventure)

The only issue with non-depraved Judar is that Aladdin has to be depraved in his place and that's the idea that I've been exploring with Solominis

I think it's very likely that Judar could be a super compassionate person if he had a different upbringing and I REALLY want Aladdin to be the one who brings that out in him

Them as brothers would really help to heal them both

If Judar were to be vulnerable around anyone in canon I WANT IT TO BE ALADDIN

Judar: Oh boy...

Alibaba: Judar I'm so so sorry-

Judar: What for?

Hakuryuu: It's usually his teachers that end up this tuckered out. Never seen it happen the other way around.

Alibaba: What?

Judar: That must've been quite a feat! You should babysit him more often haha! *picks Aladdin up* I should get this one home. See ya.

Aladdin: *more sleepy noises*
