the elephant in the room here is louis’ solo “fans” hate harry more than they like louis and they can’t admit it to themselves so they perform mental gymnastics to justify their complaints. the fact their support of louis is based on conditions shows you how quickly they’d drop him. instead of celebrating him being able to pick himself up and return to the stage after losing liam they’re causing drama. and the only reason they’re causing drama is bcos they’re mad he chose to cut one of his own songs in favor of singing where do broken hearts go which was written by harry only.
they know louis wrote the other songs, they’re being general so they retain their “good fan” status but in reality each time he performs wdbhg it weakens their claims that he hates harry and via extension hates the larries and maybe the hate is just designed pr after all bcos everyone knows if he sings wdbhg the larries will talk about it. like whether you “believe” in larry or not you will never be able to erase how important 1d is to louis and newsflash— harry was in 1d and that means harry was and IS important to louis.
