queer people experience tragedies and succumb to madness. this is how every single one of my wips can be summed up.

12. Which story took the most research?

i would say What the House Remembers because it made me go all the way to Miami and check out like 15 books on Cuban architecture but nothing even comes CLOSE to the amount of research i did for Falcon, half of which will not even see the light of day because i had to scale back how much Azran lore i was dropping

i have a whole bookshelf for these so um. right now my MOST favorite are The Death of Jane Lawrence by Caitlin Starling, Vicious/Vengeful by V.E. Schwab, The Likeness by Tana French, For Your Own Good by Samantha Downing, and The Two Doctors Gorski by Isaac Fellman <3

YASSSS The Diviner’s Hand is my newest idea stemming from spite towards my disappointment in The Cloisters by Katy Hays. basically i just want to write a gothic horror about a secret society thats ACTUALLY tarot themed. and because i’m such a tarot nerd i want to use tarot to plot it too lolll
