Sunstar, The Tyrant & Rowangorse, The Vengeful
Siblings from seperate litters; Their father, Stoneclaw, was a lowly infidel whore, a tom who cheated his way into the previous monarchs good graces. While she was graceful enough to allow him to sire her litter, it wasnt long before his secret was exposed. 5 moons after the birth of Sunstar, one of the resident loners approached Singestar with her litter, begging for forgiveness and mercy.
She would not have come bearing the terrible news that her affair with the consort of THE Singestar, had resulted in a meager litter of two bastards, had she not uncovered the truth from him. Perhaps, she begged, that if she outed herself to save her hide, they would be let off. Singestar was as merciful as a hidden serpent in the desert sands, however. Calling her clan to attention, she drew all eyes to Stoneclaw and his mistress. He would choose one kit to die, or they all would. While the mother pleaded for anything but such a sentence, Stoneclaw had chosen faster than she could finish. He'd chosen the son, the kit that was a mirror image of him, to die, likely to slither his way back into Singestar's good graces by eliminating it to satisfy the bloodlust in the she-cat's eyes.
He was Sleazy, Secretive, AND selfish, it seemed. Tut, Tut. Sunstar, while just a young kit at the time, watched from her mothers side as it unfolded, being told that this was her first "lesson" as Solsticeclan's heir. She watched, shaken barely, but silent, as her bastard half sister, Stoneclaw and his mistress were all slaughtered. By some god given miracle, singestar spared the silent, shaking son. For his look of rebelliousness and cold resentment must have been enough to deter her, convince her, even that he was worth her time.
The two were raised as siblings, with a clear imbalance of attention when it came to singestar.
They competed for the throne until Singestar's timely death, and unsurprisingly, Sunstar assumed leadership, allowing her brother a reasonable, yet lowly position as a Warrior. He hates her for her mothers cruelty to this day, And sunstar hates him back for what their father did. Probably just for looking like him. No bastard like him could ever stand on her pedestal. Strangely, though, she bares no ill will for his Daughter, Wavecrash, and her daughter, Talonkit. They can’t say the same for her.
