Sensing the strong pulsation of several auras approaching -- power...power... -- the Jubjub Bird's head lolled to the side, glassy coal eyes casting a wary glance over its shoulder. After a quick onceover of the souls coming towards it, the otherworldly entity simply faced front again.

All alive.

A muted sigh passed parted grey lips, that dull ashy color matching the skin covering its entire body. Somehow the Chain, even in this temporary human form, always managed to appear sickly and grotesque. Veins throbbed steadily across its brow, cheeks, and neck, flesh puckering unattractively along the hairline.

Though, that much was to be expected. The Jubjub Bird was, at its core, through and through, a monstrous vulture.

And it had absolutely no use for living humans.
