SomaEdgar for that christmas OTP question thingy >:D
MY FRIEND. THANK YOU FOR KEEPING THE FLAME ALIVE FOR THESE TWO. YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE THEM, SO THIS IS A WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY TO EXPLORE THEM MORE. :) ANSWERS ARE BELOW THE CUT.
Answers will pertain to their modern day AU. (*´▽`*)
Christmas OTP Questions
Who wakes the other up excitedly on Christmas morning? Which one begs for five more minutes of sleep? Soma is the most excited on Christmas morning. For sure, Soma. Even though he isn’t Christian, he’s embraced the holiday and spoils his lover rotten. They both do, but Soma is the most excited to wake up early and open presents because he wants to see Edgar’s reactions to his presents. And Edgar is like “Bae, please - we didn’t get to sleep until 3am because you wanted to watch the Santa tracker on Google Earth.”
Which one hangs the mistletoe? Edgar. He starts to decorate their shared house with it beginning Dec 1. He’ll put it in the most silliest of places too - like the hall closet. He’ll pull Soma in there, and they’ll make out like teenagers. It becomes a game to them, as Soma goes around the house, trying to find them all.
Which one cooks? Do they cook together? Do they go out to eat? Well, because this is SomaEdgar we’re talking about, there’s only one person that would cook their traditional Christmas dinner. That would be Soma’s longtime man servant - Agni. Agni cooks for the two of them, pushing them out of the kitchen as they try and offer their help. Soma and Edgar just enjoy their egg nog in the living room, as Agni prepares their feast.
Which one can’t sleep the night before? Soma. He gets too excited. Also, as addressed in the previous question, he loves to watch the Santa tracker. “Look, Edgar! He’s flying over Bengal now! Oh, my gosh - do you think he’s giving all the kids what they want??”
Which one dresses like they’re straight out of a Christmas movie? With Edgar’s modeling career, he gets to keep a lot of his wardrobe. Because of this, he tends to dress more for the season than soma does. But - Soma is the one to wear those ugly Christmas sweaters, and unironically. He just loves how hideous they are.
Which one sings Christmas carols loudly and off-key at random times? Soma will be the one singing as loud as he can, and will sing off-key on purpose. He has the voice of an angel, but he likes making Edgar laugh, which he does every single time he hits a painfully wrong note.
Which one tears open their packages? Which one slowly, methodically unwraps every single one? Edgar is the more reserved of the two - he likes to open his gifts slow, appreciating the work that Agni has put into wrapping the gifts Soma has purchased for him. Soma, however - has no chill, and just rips the wrapping off like it’s no big deal.
Who opens their biggest gift first? Who opens their smallest gift first? Soma opens the biggest first, and generally it’s a gift that has a smaller gift inside, as Edgar enjoys making his lover suffer. Not really, though. He just loves to see him get really excited. Edgar opens the smallest gift first, because it’s usually a piece of jewelry from his lover, which he puts on immediately after opening, so he can have it on all day.
Which one makes the sappy Christmas speech? Edgar. He’s so in love with Soma, and he’s so grateful to have met him, that he always makes sure his lover knows how much he means to him on Christmas. Of course, this makes Soma and Agni both a blubbering mess, and the three all share a wonderful hug together.
Which one’s family do they spend Christmas Day with? Does the whole family get together, or is it just your OTP, and any kids they have? Soma has traveled to France to be with Edgar’s family, but they tend to go after the holiday. They like to spend Christmas on their own - as it’s ‘their’ holiday. Edgar’s family understands, the two of them usually Skyping with them on Christmas Eve. No children for them.
Which one buys a gift for their pet? Edgar spoils their puppies rotten. It doesn’t help that Agni encourages him - giving the puppies their own handmade gifts too.
Who dreams of a white Christmas? Soma. He loves the snow, and he thinks it feels more festive if it’s snowing on the holiday.
Which one munches on candy until lunch time? Edgar. He has got a terrible sweettooth, and with all the English toffee that gets baked for the holiday, along with the Christmas cookies, he’s constantly munching on them. It’s the one day of the year he will just allow himself to eat all the sweets he wants, with no regrets.
Which one goes to bed first that day? Which one stays up, being nostalgic? The two usually go to bed together, so neither really applies to them. They reflect on their presents, and cuddle with each other until they fall asleep - bellies full of Agni’s delicious cooking.
Which one is ready to start de-decorating on the 26th? Which one wants to keep stuff up unitl after January? Soma wishes they could keep it up year round, as their multiple Christmas trees are so pretty to look at. Edgar is of the mind “The holiday is over, time to put them away.” He likes the tradition of decorating at the beginning of the month, and then taking it down after boxing day. But, Soma usually wins out - and they keep their decorations up until after the Epiphany.
Thank you so much for sending this ask, my friend!! ♥(ˆ⌣ˆԅ)

Part of my SomaEdgar series
Plum colored hair spills over alabaster skin, as Soma rests his cheek against Edgar’s chest, doing his best to catch his breath. His limbs all tingle, as the two of them have just enjoyed a rather sensual orgasm together, thanks to the Kama Sutra book that they keep nearby, both happy to experiment with one another and try new things together. This last round had proven to be quite successful, as he can hear Edgar’s heart still beating hard in his chest, his own doing the same.
Fingers land on the back of his neck, as Edgar starts to play with his hair. “I’ve got something to tell you, my Prince.”
“Oh?” He rubs his nose against Edgar’s chest, breathing deep. “What is it, Edgar?”
“You will have to guess.” He hears the teasing tone to his lover’s request, as he turns his head to the side, looking up into his scarlet eyes.
“Eh? Why must I guess?? I don’t like guessing games.” Soma tries to set his mouth into a pout, but the way his body keeps tingling from their shared orgasm, he can’t keep the goofy smile off of his face. “Just tell me?”
Edgar shakes his head. “Come on, Prince. Try to guess what it is.”
“You’ve gotten a scholarship to Oxford? You start in the spring?” Soma couldn’t think of anything else that might be relevant. The two of them had just spoken about the idea of visiting the campus together. Even though Edgar had not finished his seventh year at Weston, the clout of his family allowed him the opportunity to go to school anywhere in England to further his education.
A sad look comes over his lover’s face, Soma instantly regretting what he has just said. “No, I’m afraid that’s not it. I haven’t heard anything from them.” The sadness quickly vanishes, as another smile appears on his lover’s face. “Try again. You get one more guess, Prince.”
“Well, that’s not fair!” He tries to sit up, but has absolutely no energy to do so, and falls back down towards the bed, resting his face back on his lover’s chest. “What happens if I guess wrong??”
“I will have to punish you.” Edgar wiggles his eyebrows suggestively, making Soma start to laugh. “What? Don’t you believe me?” His lover now wears a pout on his face, trying to look as aloof as he used to back when they were at Weston together. But Soma knows better now - knows that his lover is capable of so much more than he had been back then, that this teasing doesn’t bother him in the slightest.
His own smile begins to turn into a smirk, as he stares into his lover’s scarlet eyes. “Maybe I would like to just take the punishment, rather than try to guess what it is you have to tell me.”
“Soma!” Edgar’s cheeks turn pink, as his lover quickly looks away. Soma dissolves into a fit of laughter, squealing as his lover’s hands start to tickle his sides. “You think this is funny?” Edgar teases, continuing to tickle him more.
Laughing loud, Soma tries to speak, but each time Edgar moves his fingers, it makes him laugh more. “S-Stop it, Edgar!” He wheezes out, laughing hard. “I surrender!”
“Not until you say you’re sorry for what you just said!”
Tears of joy begin to stream down his face, as he laughs more. “F-For what? Wanting to be spanked??”
It’s at that exact moment that the door to his room is flung open by his khan-sama. “My lord! I heard screaming, are you all….” Agni’s eyes widen, when he sees how very naked both Soma and Edgar are, neither of them having bothered to cover up after their last round of sex. Agni drops his head, and averts his eyes quickly, turning his back towards them. “I apologize, Lord Soma. I thought I heard screaming, and-”
“It’s okay, Agni.” Soma doesn’t bother covering himself up, as his khan-sama bathes him on a regular basis, but he’s quick to pull the blanket up over Edgar, who seems to be in a petrified state. “I shall try and be more quiet.”
“It is fine, Lord Soma. I had forgotten that Master Edgar was here.”
That catches both of their attention, as it isn’t like his khan-sama to forget something such as that. “Really? But, he’s been here since dinner? And that was only a couple of hours ago.”
“Agni-kun~! Where did you go?”
Soma and Edgar share a look, as they see Agni grab onto the door. “I-If either of you need anything, please do not hesitate to call. E-Excuse me!” Agni darts out of the room, slamming the door behind him.
“What in the world was that?” Edgar asks, as they stare at the shut door. “Did you just hear someone?”
Chuckling softly, Soma moves to rest his head on Edgar’s shoulder, snuggling close to his body. “I do believe that Chinaman is here.”
“Prince!” A light tap on his arm makes Soma start to laugh again. “I believe the proper term would be ‘man from China’.”
“Yes, I know.” Soma’s laughter tapers down. “Okay, I think I’m ready to guess now.” He nods, resting his chin on Edgar’s sternum. “You want to tell me that you’re madly in love with me.”
“But you already are aware of that, Prince.” The smile that appears on his lover’s face makes Soma’s heart begin to beat quick, after it has just returned to its normal rhythm. “I love you very much.”
“I love you too, Edgar!” He lifts himself up, and places a kiss against his lover’s lips. “But, am I right? Was that what you wanted to tell me?”
Blonde hair falls onto Edgar’s cheek, as he shakes his head. “I’m afraid not. Shall we allow you one more guess? Or shall I just tell you, since you seem to be terrible at this game?”
“I’m not terrible,” Soma whines. “Just tell meeeeeeee.”
“Okay, I’ll tell you!” Laughter fills the air, as Edgar hugs him close to his body. “My family is going out of town this coming weekend. I was rather hoping that you might be able to come over, and keep me company while they are gone?”
Soma sits up, his mouth dropping open with surprise. “Do you mean it?? Do I really get to see your home?”
“You say it like you’ve never been there before,” Edgar says.
“Because I haven’t!” He starts to bounce excitedly. “Oh, this will be wonderful! But, wait.” He looks at his lover, narrowing his eyes. “Why aren’t you going with your family?”
Edgar pulls him back down, his head back against his chest. “I don’t really wish to go to the countryside this weekend. So, it’s a perfect excuse to allow me to show you my home.”
“I would love to come visit you.” Soma nods his head, trying to control his enthusiasm. “When would you like me there?”
“Saturday, mid-morning? Then, I will escort you back here?”
“I can’t wait!!”

“Agni, are you sure this is correct?” Soma asks, as their carriage pulls up to the largest house on the street. “Is this really the Redmond residence?”
His khan-sama nods. “I believe so, Lord Soma. I gave the address to our driver, so this must be the correct house.”
Agni gets out of the carriage first, then helps Soma down. He turns around, and sees Edgar is walking towards them, a large smile on his face. “I’m so glad you found my place with no trouble.” He gives Soma a quick hug, before turning his attention to Agni. “Thank you for bringing Prince Soma here safely. I will make sure that he returns to you unscathed tomorrow morning, Agni.”
“Thank you, Master Edgar.” Agni smiles, placing his hands together, as if he’s about to pray. “May the both of you be safe. I believe it is supposed to begin snowing this evening! Shiva shall watch over the both of you!”
Soma tucks his arm around Edgar’s. “Goodbye, Agni! Please enjoy your evening! I shall see you tomorrow!” He waves, and then begins to lead Edgar back up to the front of his estate. “Come along, Edgar! I wish to see your house!”
“G-Goodbye, Lord Soma!” He hears Agni begin to wail, but ignores it, knowing that his khan-sama will be fine as soon as he gets inside. “Please call me if you need anything!”
Edgar opens the front door for him, and escorts him inside. “Will Agni be alright, my Prince?”
“Yes, he’ll be fine.” Soma unravels his scarf, and takes a look at the large foyer. “Your home is beautiful, Edgar!”
“It’s isn’t much, but it is home.” Edgar smiles, and takes his hand. “Come, I’d love to show you the study? I’ve got a fire going in there, and I’ve set up a chessboard. You do like to play, don’t you?”
He nods, as he takes in all the portraits that line the hallway. “Has this home been in your family for a long time?”
“It has. The Redmonds have lived here for the past one hundred years. They’ve lived in our Paris estate for more than three hundred, though.” The two walk into a rather large study, which has many bookcases, not an empty space on any shelf. “What about you, my liege? How long has your family lived in your estate in Bengal?”
“I think at least five hundred years? Although I’m not quite sure.” Soma plops down on one of the cushions that have been set in front of the roaring fire. “Maybe longer?”
“My goodness,” Edgar sits down next to him. “Do you miss your country, my Prince?”
Soma looks at the fire, pulling one knee up towards his chest. “I wouldn’t say that I miss it a lot. I have twenty-five brothers and sisters, so the palace is rather quite large. I like being here, because I’ve got more friends here than I ever did back home.”
“You also have me.” His lover reaches over, and takes his hand. “Unless, you left a lover behind?”
Laughing, Soma shakes his head, his ponytail swaying from side to side. “No, I was never romantically involved with anyone. And you? I’m surprised that you weren’t with one of the boys in our dormitory at Weston.”
“No, no one really ever caught my attention. But you?” Edgar lifts his palm to his lips, and kisses it gently. “You made quite the impression on me.”
“You mean, my elephant did.” His eyes close, as he feels his lover kiss each of his fingers with soft kisses. “I thought you were going to throw me out of the dormitory.”
His hand touches Edgar’s chest, eyelids fluttering open as he looks at him with a questioning gaze. “Yes, I may have had a few one-off lovers throughout my years at Weston, but none of them can compare to what I have with you. What we share together, my Prince.” Scarlet eyes stare into his. “You know more about me than any other soul.”
“You know more about me than anyone else.” Soma begins to lean forward, and doesn’t stop until his forehead connects with Edgar’s. “At Ciel’s party last week, you don’t know how much it meant to me to see you in my culture’s clothing. I’ve never had someone go out of their way to do something like that for me.”
“It was the least I could do, my liege.” His lover speaks softly, rubbing his nose against Soma’s. “Now, would you like to play a game of chess with me?”
Soma shakes his head. “I’d like to see your bedroom? If I might?”
“I would have brought you there first, but I was afraid it was going to see too forward.” Edgar stands up, and helps Soma up. “It won’t take too long to get there. But, are you hungry? Would you care to eat some lunch soon?”
“After I see your room?”
“This way, my Prince.”
Each step makes Soma’s heart beat quicker, as he tries to keep up with his lover. He’s so busy paying attention to him that he doesn’t notice the rest of the house that Edgar shows to him. All he can focus on is his lover’s long blonde locks, as they sway with each step he takes, the low ponytail he normally wears it in not present. His fingers itch to touch it, but he’s not sure if there are house servants around, and if there are, he’s not sure if they will welcome his presence. Soma is so lost in thought, that he doesn’t realize he’s made it to Edgar’s bedroom until the door closes behind him.
“We’re here??” He asks, looking at his lover.
Edgar chuckles, and nods his head. “This is my bedroom. I’m afraid there’s not much to see.”
“It’s marvelous, Edgar.”
His eyes sweep the room, as he takes it all in. There’s a four poster bed, a large vanity, an even larger wardrobe, as well as a sitting couch, similar to the one that had been in the former prefect’s room back at Weston. The view from the window shows that they’re on the third floor, with a view of the neighborhood, as well as London proper in the distance. Soma stares out the window, and gasps.
“What is it?” Edgar asks, coming to his side. “Do you see something?”
He nods, and points at the glass. “Look! It’s finally snowing!” He smiles bright, and watches as snow drifts to the ground, the grass already covered in a light dusting. “When I first came to this country, snow was everywhere. I didn’t realize I would miss it as much as I have. But, it’s here now!”
“There isn’t snow like this where you’re from, is there?” His lover places his arm around his shoulder. “Would you like to go out and play in it, my Prince?”
“I would love to!” Soma turns to look at his lover. “But, first!”
“Yes?”
Stepping away from the window, Soma goes and sits down on Edgar’s bed. “I’d rather like to know what it feels like to have sex in your bed, Edgar.”
“You are always so forward, my Prince.” Edgar joins him on the bed, guiding him to lay on his back.
Soma starts to get undressed, as he watches his lover do the same. “Is that a bad thing, Edgar? I thought being honest is the best way to get what you want.”
“And just what is it that you want?” Both teens are now both without any clothes on.
He reaches up, and pulls his lover close to him. “I want us to make love.”
“That’s exactly what I want too, my Prince.”
“Then, let’s give each other what we want? Please, Edgar?”
“It will be my pleasure.” Lips connect with his, as all talking ceases in favor of giving each other what they both desire.
***
“Don’t!” Soma warns, as they stand outside. “You do it, Edgar, and I will leave immediately!”
Edgar smirks, as he holds a snowball in his hand. “Would you really do that, my beautiful Prince?” He tosses the snowball back and forth between his right and left hand. “It won’t hurt you.”
“I don’t like being wet!” He starts to gather up his own snow, as his poor attempt at a snowman goes unattended. “Edgar, I mean it!”
The snowball drops from his hands, Edgar’s shoulders dropping. “I was only teasing you, my Prince. I would never do something you don’t want.”
“Good!” He grins, as the snowball he’s been putting together with his two hands goes sailing across the courtyard, hitting Edgar square in the chest. “Oops!” He starts to laugh, as he begins to run back towards the house.
“Oh, now you’re going to get it!” Edgar shouts, as snow begins to go flying back and forth, the two teens trying to hit one another, but neither standing still long enough to allow that to happen.
Soma falls onto the ground, his fingers digging into the snow. It only reaches his second knuckle, but if the snow doesn’t stop falling soon, he wouldn’t be surprised if it could go all the way up to his wrist. He starts to laugh harder, as he feels Edgar grab onto his waist, and pulls him back up, only to pour snow down the back of his shirt.
“COLD!” He shouts, wiggling as much as he can to get it off of his body, and back down onto the ground where it belongs. Before Edgar can stop him, he does the same to him, and adds a handful of snow to the top of his head, laughing gaily. “Don’t do it!!” He squeals, as he races back towards the house.
“You’re the one that caused this, my Prince.” Edgar starts to charge towards him, but then stops short, making Soma wonder what’s happened. “Mother.”
He feels his heart stop, as he looks over at the back entrance, and sees a woman that looks just like Edgar standing there, a stern look on her face. “Edgar!” She then launches into a tirade entirely in French, Soma feeling very much out of place, as she starts to chastise her son.
“Mother, please,” Edgar interjects into English. “It is rude to speak like that in front of my guest.”
“You were supposed to be in bed, sick!” His mother says, in somewhat broken English. “And look at you, playing in the snow with-”
“This is Prince Soma Asman Kadar, of Bengal.” Edgar stands next to him, Soma feeling very self-conscious.
His full title gets Edgar’s mother to stop glaring daggers at her son, and immediately has the kindest look on her face. “I’m sorry, Prince Kadar. I did not realize who you were, as my son never bothers to tell me anything about his personal life.”
“It’s no problem. I just happened to stop by. I had not expected anyone to be home.” Soma is surprised by how easily the lies leave his mouth. “You see, I went to school with Redmond, and wanted to catch up with him, since it’s so close to the holidays.”
“Oh, you’re a Weston student?” She smiles, and extends her hand. “Well, I had only returned home to grab something I had forgotten. I will allow you and my son to catch up. It was a pleasure meeting you, Prince Kadar.”
He takes her hand, and kisses the back of her knuckles. “The pleasure is mine, madame. And please, you may call me Soma.”
She bows, and then says something in French to his lover, but it doesn’t carry the same angry tone as all the other times she had spoken to him had. She waves to both of them, and then heads back into the house. Neither move until they hear the carriage pull away, then both share a look with one another.
“Well, I didn’t expect my mother to come home.” Edgar sighs. “I hope she wasn’t too rude.”
“I have no idea what she said, as I don’t speak French. But, she seemed fine after you told her I was a Prince.” He teases his lover, as the two of them head back into the house.
Edgar groans, rubbing his hand over his face. “Sorry about that. I knew it would get her to calm down.”
“It’s okay.” He kisses his lover’s cheek. “Should I call Agni and ask him to come pick me up now? Rather than spend the night?”
His lover sighs sadly. “I think that might be best, my Prince.”
“Say no more. I understand completely.”
Agni arrives forty-five minutes later, a forlorn look on his face. “Master Redmond, would you care to come home with us?” Agni offers, as he walks the two of them back out to the waiting carriage.
“If my mother decides to come back home and I’m not here, there will be hell to pay.” Edgar closes the carriage door, Soma pushing his upper body out of the window. “We’ll see each other again soon, my Prince. It’s almost Christmas, after all.”
“I shall miss you!” Soma looks around, and when he sees it’s safe, he kisses his lover on the lips. “We’ll see each other again soon! This time, with Shiva’s blessing!”
Edgar smiles, and nods his head. “I like the sound of that, my Prince. Agni? I’m sorry if we ruined any plans you had this evening. I will make it up to you soon.”
“Master Edgar, there is no reason to think such things!” Agni shakes his head. “Please take care of yourself. We will see you soon.”
“I love you!” Soma calls out, as the carriage rolls away. He sees Edgar mouth the words back to him, before heading back into his estate.
Soma sighs, looking out the window. “I hope that our next visit won’t be like this. Maybe we should just stick to seeing one another at our residence, Agni.”
“I have no problem with that, Lord Soma.” His khan-sama nods his head. “Master Edgar is always welcome in our home.”
“I’m glad, Agni.” He leans his elbow on his knee, and watches more snow fall from the sky. As nice as Edgar’s mother was, he’d much rather avoid another awkward encounter. If that meant only hosting Edgar at the townhouse, then that’s what he will do. “Did you have plans with Lau this evening?”
“It is of no matter, Lord Soma. Please, do not worry about that.” Agni smiles. “Now, I’m sure you’re hungry? I’ve made some tikki masala, that should be ready when we arrive back home.”
His stomach gurgles, answering Agni’s question. “That sounds wonderful, Agni. Thank you. And please, if you did have plans with Lau this evening, I wish for you to keep them. I can find something to entertain myself with for the night.”
“Yes, my lord.”
He hopes that the next time he sees his lover, it won’t be such a quick visit. Already missing him, Soma eats dinner, and then curls up with another recommendation of Edgar’s. They’ll see each other soon. He feels it, and knows that the gods will make sure that it happens for him. He looks back down at his book, and gets lost in the fictional world, listening to the fire crackle, as more snow blankets London.

Part of my SomaEdgar Modern AU
Soma adjusts his bangs, pushing them behind his ear, as he trails behind Edgar, who is wearing a black Homburg hat to hide his identity from the world. Not that Soma blames him, as he knows how chaotic it can be for his lover, what with being in the public eye as not just a model, but a very successful businessman. Edgar holds onto his hand, as he guides them towards the EuroStar business premier center in St Pancras International. His gloved fingers hold onto his hand tight, not at all familiar with this area of the train station, as he generally travels to continental Europe by plane.
Edgar presents their tickets to an agent, taking his hat off to show that he is indeed who he says he is, before putting it back on. It’s the first time they’re traveling together, and so far, things seem to be running smoothly. Soma shows his own passport to the ticketing agent, and then, the two of them are led towards the Business Premier lounge, as they have about a half hour to kill before their train departs for Paris.
Their two bags remain with them, as they find two seats together. Soma sits down first, although he’d much rather stand, as he’s a little giddy, and has lots of nervous energy at the moment. “Don’t forget to call Angi, my Prince,” Edgar reminds him, before sitting down next to him.
“Right! Thank you, Edg- Hugh.” Soma quickly corrects himself. Edgar smiles, then picks up his newspaper, and hides behind it.
Looking to the left, he can see a holiday advert plastered to the wall that has his lover’s face on it, which is why Edgar is trying his best to remain as incognito as possible. They’d both decided while out in public together, Soma would call him Hugh, as it would be easier to slip into a lie than accidentally draw attention that he is indeed the famous model, Edgar Redmond. Pulling his phone out of his pocket, he dials Agni’s number, and waits patiently for his assistant to answer.
“Lord Soma! Praise Kali! You’ve made it to the train station?” Agni answers after one ring, not allowing Soma to answer any of his questions, too busy speaking in a rush. “Or have the two of you gotten stuck in traffic? Do I need to send Bardroy to come and pick you up somewhere, or-”
“Agni!” Soma finally interrupts him, his assistant no longer speaking. “Yes, we’ve made it to St. Pancras. We’ve got about another twenty minutes until we board. Shall I give you a ring when we make it to Paris?” He asks, eyes still on the advert across the station. “But, if I do that, you must let me speak after you greet me.”
“I’m so sorry, Lord Soma!” Agni quickly replies. “Yes, please do call me. And Edgar has confirmed that his family will be waiting for you?”
“We’re taking a taxi to their home just outside of Paris. We’ll be fine. I’ll call you after we arrive by train. Try not to do much without me the next few days, Agni.”
“Take care, Lord Soma. And may Shiva smile down upon the both of you!”
“Goodbye!” He hangs up, and then sits back down. “I see that they have not wasted any time putting up those Christmas adverts you just did a few weeks ago.”
His lover lowers the newspaper just a little, and then looks back at the printed word. “What did you expect? Halloween is over, so that means only fifty some odd days until the Christmas holiday.”
“Is it just me, or does the end of the year seem to go by so much faster than the beginning of the year?” Soma remarks, tapping his chin thoughtfully. “I haven’t a clue as to what we’ll be doing for the holiday this year. Knowing Ciel, he’ll ship me off to a client.”
That remark gets his lover’s full attention, the newspaper being folded up. Edgar adjusts his glasses, and turns towards him. “Really, Prince? He ships you off for the holiday?”
“We don’t celebrate Christmas,” Soma shrugs his shoulders. “Yes, we enjoy a nice dinner, but that’s all.”
“Well, we’ll have to change that this year. I always throw my closest friends a huge dinner party. You must attend as my date, there will be no exceptions.” Edgar leans over, kissing his cheek. “So you tell Phantomhive that you won’t be able to travel this holiday season, alright?”
“Yes, Edg-Hugh.”
An announcement comes over the intercom, letting them know that they can now board the Eurostar. Soma follows Edgar out towards the platform, pleased to see that their train is right there, with no need to travel through corridors to get to their transportation. Just as when they checked in, Edgar hands the tickets to the porter, and the two are led to their seats, which face each other, and are not surrounded by anyone else. The porter takes their bags, and puts them in the overhead bin towards the back of the car, the two keeping their messenger bags with them.
“Do you know why I wanted to take this, rather than hire a private jet?” Edgar asks, as they travel across the English countryside.
Soma looks out the window, and can see hills rolling by, as they head east towards France. A trolley stops next to them, a woman asking if they prefer beer or wine, Edgar saying that they’ll take two glasses of champagne. Once she’s gone, he lifts his glass up, Soma picking his up to clink it against his. “Because I’ve never traveled by train there?” Soma guesses, after taking a sip of his champagne.
“Partly,” Edgar agrees. “Mostly because it’s nice to just relax. I feel that the gentle movement of the train is far more enjoyable than the forty five minute flight between Heathrow and Charles de Gaulle. It’s such a hassle traveling by air, that I find that this is my prefered method of making the journey home.”
The moon is on the rise, as they’ve chosen to travel towards the later part of the day, allowing Soma to finish up his work before they’d left for their three day excursion to Edgar’s home for family celebration. “How long will we be underwater for?” He asks, sipping more of his champagne.
“About twenty minutes. Why? Are you nervous?” Edgar asks, reaching over to take his hand. “You’ve no reason to worry, my Prince. It’ll happen so fast, that you’ll be amazed you were even worried to begin with.”
“They serve us food, right?” Soma asks, feeling a little embarrassed that Edgar immediately picked up on why he had asked. “Will that happen before or after?”
“After.” Edgar smiles. “So, tell me, Prince. Are you excited to finally meet my family?”
The cabin lights appear brighter, as they leave the countryside, and are now underneath the English Channel. “I’m a little bit scared,” Soma’s voice comes out a bit timid. “I’m sure that I’m not someone that they ever pictured you to be with.”
“You mean, because you’re male?” Edgar asks, his fingers rubbing the back of his hand gently. “Soma, look at me.”
Lifting his head, he stares into his lover’s scarlet eyes. “No, because I’m Indian.”
“They don’t care about that sort of thing,” Edgar shakes his head. “And they won’t even care that you’re a man. I came out to my family when I was in high school.”
“Yet you choose not to announce it to the public?” Soma keeps looking into his eyes, everything around him disappearing. “Why is that?”
“It’s not that I choose not to,” Edgar picks up his glass of champagne, and takes a sip. “I like to leave it ambiguous, as it allows me to carry an edge that some other models don’t have.”
“But I thought modeling was just a hobby.”
His lover nods. “It is, my Prince. But, since I’m not opposed to posing with both male and female models, I garner more work. It makes it more enjoyable.”
“Well, that’s good.” Soma’s shoulders begin to relax, as the champagne slowly works through his system. “And the reason I’m scared is that I won’t be good enough for you in their eyes.”
Laughter rings out, as Edgar sets his glass down. “My beautiful Prince, they will be amazed at how long our relationship has lasted. Before you, I would jump from person to person. When we made that transatlantic journey together, I knew that those days were behind me.”
“Really?” It surprises him, hearing his lover talk so candidly. “I made that much of an impression on you?”
“Did I not immediately start sending flowers to your residence?” Edgar teases him, a small smirk on his face. “Shouldn’t that account for something?”
Blushing, Soma looks over to the window, and is surprised to see the countryside. “We’re out of the tunnel.”
“That we are, my Prince.” The hat that’s on Edgar’s head is removed, his fingers combing out his short blonde hair. “Food should be arriving soon.”
As if on cue, the woman who had brought them champagne earlier brings them their dinner for the evening - a three course meal (albeit small portions), as well as more champagne. The two men enjoy their meal, talking about more of Edgar’s past, Soma listening raptly to the way his lover describes what he went through in both high school and college. They’ve lived such different lives, that surely it is the divine work of Kali that the two met as they did. Coffee is served after dinner, both enjoying the robust flavor of the brewed pot. As they get closer to Paris, Soma can see landmarks from his window all lit up.
“Paris is such a beautiful city,” Soma sighs, looking out the window. “Such a different landscape from what London is like.”
“It is rather nice, isn’t it? I’m excited to show you my family’s home, Soma. I hope that they won’t intimidate you too much. My uncle…. Well, he can be kind of a handful.”
“I doubt that could be possible.” Soma remarks.
“You’ll find out soon enough,” his lover teases, putting his hat back onto his head. “It shouldn’t take us too long to get a taxi.”
Suppressing a yawn behind his hand, Soma nods. “Alright, Hugh.”
Now, more than ever, is Soma aware of just how famous his lover is. The same advert that he saw in the train station back in London is plastered along the walls of Gare du Nord. Just as he did in London, he follows behind his lover, as they make their way out of the station, and head to a taxi stand. Soma listens to his lover speak in fluent French, noticing an accent there that he’d never heard before. It sounds beautiful. Just as he’s about to ask his lover about it, a taxi pulls up, and Edgar escorts him into the back, as the driver takes their bags and puts them into the trunk.
“What’s the matter, Prince?” Edgar asks, looping his arm through Soma’s. “Too much, too fast?”
“It’s just that I never thought of you speaking fluently before. It sounds so nice,” Soma confesses.
“Well, that’s good, because I’ll be speaking it a lot over the course of our trip,” Edgar laughs, his scarlet eyes dancing with mirth. “But don’t worry - my family speaks English as well.”
“I hope so, otherwise this is going to be very, very bad.”
More laughter rings out. “It’ll be fine, my Prince.”
***
Edgar’s uncle is not someone that Soma would ever have imagined to be of any relation to his lover. The man practically fell to his knees upon their arrival, kissing both of Soma’s hands, shouting how pleased he is that his nephew has finally brought someone home to the family. That little bit of information made Soma feel special, which helped to ease some of the nerves that had kicked up as they had left the sanctuary of the cab.
“Uncle Aleister, please,” Edgar begs him. “Let go of his hand. We need to put our things away.”
“But my dear nephew!” Aleister twirls around. “You don’t know how happy this makes your mother, and the rest of us!”
A woman that has the same exact hair color as Edgar appears behind the rather boisterous man. “Welcome home, Edgar. It’s so good to see you.”
“Hello, mother.” Edgar walks over to her, and embraces her, kissing both of her cheeks. “I’d like for you to meet my boyfriend, Prince Soma Asman Kadar.”
Soma feels his cheeks burn, as he extends his hand out towards his lover’s mother. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Redmond. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay here for this blessed event.”
“It’s no problem, Prince Kadar.” She lets go of his hand, and steps close to him, embracing him warmly. “And if you’ve managed to settle my son down, you deserve to be hugged like a family member, because that’s what you are for this weekend.”
Trying not to cry, Soma places his arms around the petite woman. “Merci,” he whispers, overcome with emotion.
Aleister claps his hands. “This calls for a toast! I shall go grab some wine for us to enjoy!”
“Uncle, that’s really not-”
“Let your uncle be, Edgar,” his mother says, pulling away from Soma. “So, you’re a Prince?” She asks him, leading the two of them to the sitting room.
He nods his head, and takes a seat on a small loveseat, his lover sitting next to him. Their knees touch, Soma feeling somewhat calmer with the small physical contact. “I am. I have twenty-six siblings, though, so it’s not like I will be first in line to the throne.”
“Oh, my goodness. Your poor mother,” Edgar’s mother covers her mouth.
Soma laughs, and shakes his head. “Oh, no. I have a few different mothers, m’am. Since my father is who he is, there are a few different women that have helped sire children for him.”
“Ah, I see.” Edgar takes his hand, the two resting their hands on the cushions of the couch. “Well, our family is not as large as yours, but most of them will be here tomorrow evening. I hope you don’t mind meeting new people.”
“I’ve brought the wine!” Aleister announces, waltzing back into the room as if he owned the place. “Shall we toast to our new friend, Prince Soma?”
Edgar sighs. “Really, Uncle. This is far too much.”
“Nonsense,” Aleister hands them both a glass of wine, poured almost to the lip of the glass. “And for my beautiful sister.”
“Thank you, Aleister.” Edgar’s mother takes the glass. “Yes, let’s toast to our new friend. Thank you for coming into my son’s life, as I know that you make him quite happy, which makes us all happy.” She raises her glass.
The blush returns to his cheeks, as Soma lifts his glass. “Thank you?”
“To the love of my life,” Edgar lifts his own glass. Turning to look at his lover, he meets his scarlet eyes, as the two of them sip their wine in tandem. “Now, mother - may we please be excused? It’s been a rather long day for the both of us. We worked before traveling here.”
“Yes, yes. Your bags should already be upstairs.” Edgar’s mother looks at him. “We’ll save the tour for tomorrow, alright?”
“That sounds wonderful.” Soma nods his head. “Thank you again for your hospitality.”
“You’re quite welcome.”
Edgar leads Soma up a short flight of stairs, and then another, before leading him down a small hallway. They go through a door at the end, Soma surprised to see such a large room behind it, as he had figured with the hallway being as narrow as it is, that the rooms would be just as small. He sets his glass of wine down, and groans softly, as he feels Edgar’s body press against his back.
“This is where I grew up,” Edgar whispers into his ear. “Do you know how happy I am that I could bring you here?”
“I’m happy as well, Edgar.” He leans his head to the right, as his lover’s lips find purchase on his skin. “Mmm….is that the same bed you had in high school?”
“It is,” his lover replies in a soft voice.
“Did you bed a lot of people on it?”
“If I did…?”
“Allow me to join them…?” Soma replies, as warm breath touches the shell of his ear.
Lips touch his with a burning kiss, their tongues rubbing against each other as Edgar leads him over to the bed. His lover begins to remove his pants, when his phone begins to ring loudly. Gasping, he sits up, and pulls it out of his pants. “AGNI!”
“LORD SOMA, YOU SAID YOU WOULD CALL ME, BUT YOU DIDN’T. I WAS WORRIED THAT SOME CATASTROPHE HAD HAPPENED, AND THAT BOTH YOU AND MR. REDMOND WERE DEAD SOMEWHERE.”
He holds the phone away from his ear, and sees Edgar chuckling, while he starts to get undressed. “Agni, I am so sorry. I was very tired from the train trip, and then we got here, and I met Edgar’s mother and uncle, and then toasted with wine, and now we’re going to bed. I didn’t mean to forget!”
“It’s okay, Lord Soma. I am just glad that you are well,” Agni’s voice returns to a normal volume. “I will make sure that Bardroy is at St. Pancras on Sunday evening. Please tell Mr. Redmond that I hope he enjoys his time back home, as seeing family can be quite special. Enjoy yourself too, Lord Soma, and may Kali watch over the both of you.”
Smiling, Soma can feel himself tearing up for the second time that evening. “Enjoy your weekend, Agni. I shall see you on Sunday night.” He hangs up the phone, and sees that his lover has no clothes on. “No fair! I need to get undressed too!”
Edgar takes his phone, and plugs it into the wall, allowing it to charge. “Nothing is stopping you now from removing your clothes, my beautiful Prince.”
“Maybe I wish for you to remove them for me?” He teases his lover.
“It would be my pleasure.”
His clothes are removed, the two of them now naked together. Soma’s body molds to Edgar’s, as they kiss each other with the same ardent passion that had been there prior to Agni’s telephone call. Soma finds that he’s hornier than he’s been in quite some time, and can’t seem to stop rolling his hips, rubbing his girth against Edgar’s cock. His lover breaks off their kiss, moaning low against his ear.
“My prince…we’re the only ones on this floor tonight.” Edgar speaks low into his ear.
Groaning, Soma moves so that he’s laying on his side, pushing his hips backwards as he feels Edgar’s thickness rub against his crack. “I hope that you’ve brought the necessary items to make it so this won’t hurt.”
“You could just ask if I’ve brought lube,” Edgar teases him, kissing the side of his neck. “And yes, I did.”
Droplets of the lubricant touch his exposed entrance, as Edgar’s fingers spread his cheeks apart. “Mmm….so, I can make some noise…?” He asks, as one finger begins to rub against his sensitive flesh.
“If you don’t, I’ll fear that I’m not giving you the best sex that you deserve, Prince.” Edgar’s whispered words make Soma tremble, as a finger pushes into him.
“T-Then I shall let you know just how much I enjoy our coupling, Edgar.”
The fingers that have been prepping him pull out, his lover’s cock replacing them, and not a moment too soon. Soma tosses his head back, plum bangs falling on his face, as a loud moan tears from his throat. Edgar kisses the side of his neck, thrusting his hips forward, his cock sinking deeper into Soma’s body. Each thrust of his lover’s hips pushes Soma closer to the edge of his release. A warm hand wraps around his cock, Edgar stroking him in time with the thrusts of his hips, Soma’s orgasm exploding out of him with one low, guttural moan. He feels Edgar come moments later, the sound of Edgar’s moan filling his ear, as the two find harmony together.
He groans low, as his lover slips out of him. A warm towel is rubbed against his entrance, Edgar cleaning him with a few gentle wipes. “Sorry that was so quick, my Prince,” Edgar kisses him softly, as they both lay on their backs, the lights now off in the room.
“I’m not complaining,” Soma lets out a breathy sigh. “I’m spent.”
“Then let’s sleep, hmm? We’ve got a long day tomorrow.” Edgar kisses him again.
Rolling over, Soma yawns. “I love you.” He falls asleep, the long day catching up to him fast.
“Sweet dreams, Prince. Moi aussi. Je t’aime.”
***
The bedroom door slams behind Soma, as Edgar ushers him into the room. “Time to bury ourselves in blankets and ignore the rest of the world.”
“But Edgar-”
“No, buts! Blankets, right now!”
The afternoon hadn’t gone as well as they’d both hoped. It wasn’t necessarily Edgar’s fault, nor was it Soma’s, but Edgar’s over zealous uncle. Soma had tried so hard to keep Edgar calm, but one thing after another happened, and rather than get into a shouting match with Aleister, Edgar had grabbed onto Soma’s hand, looked at his mother and then excused the both of them to head back upstairs.
“This is why I never come home,” Edgar spits out in French. Soma doesn’t have a clue as to what he’s saying, but he sees his lover tearing off his clothes, throwing them at the floor. “You would think that the man would learn how to hold his liquor. But no, of course not! He’s too busy wanting to be the center of attention, that he doesn’t care who he insults, or how he does it!”
Soma gets undressed, and lifts up the blankets. “Edgar, I’m not sure what you’re saying. You’re speaking in French.”
“Mon Dieu,” Edgar groans, and flops down onto the bed next to him. “Je suis désolé.” Shaking his head, he repeats himself. “I’m sorry, my Prince. It’s just that he’s gotten me so worked up, that I can’t help but be angry in French.”
Sliding down the bed, Soma begins to plant soft kisses against his lover’s chest. “Well, they’re downstairs, enjoying their drunken affair. How about we enjoy ourselves up here? I know what will help you relax,” Soma bites down on the soft flesh of his lover’s abdomen. His hand touches his lover’s pale hip, his mocha colored skin a stark contrast to his lover’s alabaster complexion.
“And just how can you help me relax, my Prince?” Edgar asks, his fingers now tangled in Soma’s short strands of hair.
He kisses the tip of his lover’s cock, smiling as he sees he’s already hard. “I think you know, Edgar.” He slips his lips back over the crown, suckling on the tip with a soft moan.
“G-Give yours to me, Soma,” Edgar groans low, tugging on his hair. “Let me pleasure you too…”
Soma keeps his mouth on Edgar’s cock, as he moves to lay on top of his lover, his knees now flanking Edgar’s shoulders. The tip of his cock is teased by Edgar’s tongue flicking back and forth over it, making him moan low around the girth that’s between his own lips. He rolls his hips back, Edgar pulling his cock into his mouth with one quick swallow. He moans low, and begins to bob his head slow, alternating between licking and sucking on his lover’s cock. Edgar repeats the actions to his own body, driving Soma wild. There’s a family party happening downstairs, and the two of them are up in Edgar’s bedroom, choking on each other’s cocks.
That thought spurs him on to begin deepthroating him, the tip of his own cock striking the back of Edgar’s throat. Both men moan low, the sounds of their slurping on each other filling the room, the bed creaking with their movements. Soma sucks harder, and soon begins to taste the sweet release of his lover’s orgasm, swallowing it down with audible groans. He comes only seconds after, Edgar swallowing all of his essence with a low moan.
They pull apart, Soma moving to rest his head next to Edgar’s, when his lover starts to kiss him hard. He moans into the kiss, pulling him closer to his body, as they both start to rub against one another. He soon finds himself perched on top of him, sliding back down onto his lover’s hardened cock, a low moan leaving his mouth at the deep penetration.
“Edgar, your mother wants you downstairs,” a voice states from behind the closed door. “Quit pouting, and join the rest of us! We never get to see you!”
“Be down….in a minute!” Edgar replies in French, his hands gripping onto Soma’s hips. “Go away!”
“Fine! But you’d better be downstairs in five minutes! Ten at most!” Whoever was at the door could be heard walking away, or rather, stomping.
Amber eyes look into scarlet. “Ten minutes?”
“E-Easy,” Soma nods, and begins to rock himself back and forth on his lover’s girth.
Both find their release within five, and are dressed and ready to head back downstairs within nine minutes. Soma looks at his lover, fixing his hair. “There. Feel better now?”
“Much,” Edgar nods. “You, my Prince?”
“Absolutely,” Soma smiles. “Let’s go show your family just what kind of people we are, hmm?” He takes his lover hand.
“I love you, Soma. So much.”
“I love you too, Edgar.” He smiles, looking into his lover’s eyes.
Edgar gives him a quick kiss. “Let’s do this.”
***
“Ah, Master Soma!” Bardroy greets the two of them, as they walk towards the town car. “How was your trip to Paris?”
“Fun, Bard!” Soma replies. “Wouldn’t you say so, Edgar?” He looks at his lover, who has on a pair of sunglasses, even though it’s just after nine in the evening.
“You can say that again,” Edgar groans. “Hello, Bardroy. Nice to see you again.”
“And it’s a pleasure to see you too, sir.” He opens the backdoor for the two of them. “We’ll get you home in no time.”
“Thank you.”
Soma rests his head against Edgar’s shoulder, as they travel along the highway, heading back into London proper. “I had a wonderful time with your family this weekend, Edgar,” Soma speaks quietly. “I’m sorry that you drank too much last night.”
“I blame my family,” his lover groans. “Thank goodness I took tomorrow off as well.”
The rest of the car ride is quiet, both happy to be back home. “So, will I see you this weekend?” Edgar asks, when he gets out at his place.
“I’m free Saturday evening, so yes? Let’s go out to dinner!” Soma smiles. “My treat.”
“If that is your wish, my Prince.” Edgar leans down, and kisses him softly. “Thank you again, for such a wonderful weekend, Soma.”
“Thank you, Edgar.” He smiles, and watches as his lover heads up to his place.
Bardroy gets back into the car. “Home, Master Soma?”
“Yes, please.”
Agni is standing out on the sidewalk when Bardroy pulls up to his complex. “Lord Soma! You’ve home!” Agni claps his hands, looking up at the sky. “Praise Shiva!” He then throws his arms around Soma, hugging him tightly to his body.
“I missed you too, Agni.” He hugs his assistant back.
When he gets upstairs, he sends a text to his lover. “Drink two glasses of water before you go to bed. Tylonel in the morning. Eat something terrible for you for breakfast. Love you, Edgar.”
“Love you too, my Prince. Sweet dreams.”
Satisfied that his lover will do as he’s told him, he gets ready for bed. Their weekend in Paris had been quite the eye opener, and it makes Soma so happy to know that his lover’s family adored him. It seems that Shiva is indeed smiling down upon them. With a silent prayer said to him, he grabs his suitcase, and begins to unpack, a large smile on his face.

Soma looks at the clock on his desk, the view from his window bringing him immense happiness. Even though it’s nighttime, the moon shines down on his family’s estate, the night blooming jasmine making him feel completely at home. After not having been back to Bengal in over a decade, he jumped at the chance to return on behalf of the Funtom Corporation. He’s not sure if Ciel had any choice in deciding. Since he had announced it at a meeting, Soma had begged and pleaded every single hour until he finally said yes. He’d asked for an additional week to stay, which Ciel readily agreed to. He’d hoped that he could bring Edgar with him, but the fates had other plans.
”I’m going home to Bengal in a few weeks for work,” Soma mentions over dinner. “Would you like to accompany me?”
Edgar pulls his phone out. “What are the dates you’ll be out there, my prince?”
“June 19 through July 3.”
“Shite.”
“Oh, no! You already have plans?”
His lover nods his head, pinching the bridge of his nose. “I’ve got a week long conference I’m attending for work. And, my agent has booked me to do some modeling gigs the week after, so I’ll be going up and down the California coast.”
“Sounds like you’ll be really busy.” Soma tries to hide his disappointment. “Maybe next time I go out there, you can join me.”
“When’s the last time you went back home, Prince?”
“Twelve years ago.”
“Oh.”
Soma is still a little sad he can’t share his culture with his lover, but he knows in time that he’ll be able to bring him here. If the deal goes through, which it seems like all signs are pointing to, Soma will probably be traveling out here more often to conduct business for Ciel. There’s no way his friend would ever survive in his home country. Things are going very well between Soma and Edgar, so he knows that a trip to Bengal is definitely in the cards. A soft knock on the door draws his attention away from the window. “Come in?”
“I’ve brought your night tea, my lord.” Agni walks into the room, dressed in traditional Indian clothing, rather than the stuffy British garments he wears back in London. Soma is always wearing his culture’s clothing, as it feels so much nicer to wear these garments, especially in the Bengal heat.
Standing up, Soma stretches his arms and back, a nice pop sounding from his mid-back. “Thank you, Agni! Do you know what the time is?”
“It is just after 8:30, my lord.” Agni pours him some tea, and hands him the saucer. “Shall I go, so that you may call Mr. Redmond?”
He takes his cup, and sets it down on his desk. “Is that okay, Agni?” He sits back down, and picks up his cell phone. “It shouldn’t take me too long to speak with him.” Taking a careful sip of tea, Soma unlocks his phone, and pulls up the number pad.
“Understood, my lord.” Agni bows, then heads towards the door. “Do give Mr. Redmond my best.” He smiles at Soma, before leaving the room.
Soma presses the number ‘2’ down, which brings up one of the ad campaign pictures that Edgar had done recently. “I always do, Agni.” He places the phone against his ear, and listens to the ringing, butterflies appearing in his belly, as he waits patiently for his lover to answer the call.
“Mmmm…. Is this who I think it is?” Edgar’s raspy voice comes through the line, after four rings sound in Soma’s ear.
“I hope so,” Soma says, a large smile tugging on his lips. “Good morning, Edgar.”
“And good evening to you,” Edgar yawns softly, “my beautiful Prince. How was your day?”
“It was good! Negotiations are going well, so well that I think I might be done with work a few days earlier than anticipated.”
He hears Edgar yawn again. “That’s wonderful news. My meetings have been extremely tedious, but at least the catered breakfast and lunches have been nice, for a change.”
“I miss you,” he speaks softly into the phone. “I really wish that you could have come here with me, Edgar. You would love it here.”
“I love anywhere that you’re at, Soma. You know that.” Soma feels those butterflies return to life in his belly, his smile growing. “But do you know where I love you the most?”
Looking out the window, he stares up at the full moon. “Where is that, Edgar?”
“In my arms.”
“I wish I was in them right now,” Soma whispers. “I miss you so much.”
“I miss you too, my beautiful Prince. We’ll be together soon. You’re returning to London on the 3rd, right? Did I put it into my calendar correctly?”
He nods, before correcting himself. “I am. We fly back in early in the afternoon. And you? You return to London the 1st, is that correct?”
“It is, my Prince.”
“Okay, Edgar.” Soma finishes his tea. Standing up, he walks over to his large bed, and flops down onto it. “Oh! Agni says hello.”
“Tell him I say hello in return.” He can hear the smile on his lover’s face. “He’s keeping you in line, right?”
Laughing, Soma pushes some of his bangs off of his forehead. “It’s more like me keeping him in line. You should see how happy he is to be back here in Bengal. It’s so wonderful here. Plus, my family is more than ecstatic to have us back.”
“I’m sure that they are.” Edgar chuckles softly. “As much as I wish to stay on the phone with you-”
“You have to go.” Soma finishes for him, with a touch of sadness in his voice. “It was nice to talk to you, Edgar.”
“It’s nice that your voice was the first thing I heard today, my Prince.” Edgar’s voice carries the same tone that Soma can feel in his heart. “We’ll be together soon. Call me tomorrow morning? Please?”
“You know that I will.” He keeps his voice upbeat. “It’s my favorite part of the day.”
“It’s mine too,” Edgar replies. “I love you.”
“I love you too. Talk to you soon.”
Soma ends the call, and lays back on his pillows, a soft sigh leaving his mouth. He hears another gentle knock on his door. “Come on in, Agni.”
“Sorry to disturb you, my lord.” Agni pokes his head into his room. “I just wanted to make sure that you were doing alright.”
He nods his head. “I am, thank you. What’s on the agenda tomorrow?”
“Tomorrow, we are heading into town, so you can meet with the men that might be working with you for Funtom.” Agni recites.
“What time is the first meeting?” Soma asks.
“Not until 10:30.”
“Don’t wake me until 9, then.”
“Understood, my lord.” Agni bows his head. “Do you need anything else before I retire for the evening?”
“No, I’m alright. I’ll see you in the morning, Agni.”
“Good night, Prince.” His friend and assistant closes the door, leaving him alone.
Soma looks back out the window, eyes going to the stars that are visible near the moon. He says a silent wish, wishing that Edgar can accompany him on his next visit out here, then extinguishes the lights, and goes to sleep.
***
Three weeks pass by all too quickly. If Soma wasn’t in a meeting for Funtom, he was spending time with his brothers and sisters, traveling all over town, getting as much time he could with his relatives. Feast after feast was held, his stomach growing a little bit fluffier with all the rich food that he keeps eating. Two nights before he’s to head back to London, he’s looking in the mirror at the little pudge of stomach he now has, poking his index finger into the area next to his belly button when there’s a knock on the door.
“Come on in, Agni.” He says, not bothering to hide what he’s doing. He knows that Agni knows he’s been eating a lot, as he keeps bringing him treat after treat, and always filling up his plate after he finished eating his first helping.
The door opens slowly, Soma continuing to poke at his stomach. “I’m afraid that Agni has some other business to attend to at the moment.”
Soma’s hand drops, yanking his shirt down as he turns to stare at the door. “W-What?” He can barely see through the tears in his eyes, as he watches his lover close the door, and move towards him, short blonde hair looking a mess, the glasses on his face making his scarlet eyes seem that much brighter to him. “Edgar???”
“Yes, my Prince.” Edgar pulls him into a hug, Soma wrapping his arms around his body. “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you I was coming, but Agni said that I should keep it a surprise.”
“Aaaaaagniiiiiii.” He grumbles under his breath, before hugging his lover tighter. “You came to my home!!”
Laughing, Edgar pulls back, a smile on his face. “I did. I’m glad that Agni was able to keep quiet about it.”
There’s another knock on the door. Soma glares at it. “AGNI.”
“Ah, I see that Master Redmond has made it safely.” Agni enters into the room, rolling a trolley full of food. “I imagine you must be quite famished.”
“I’m starving, Agni.” Edgar reaches down to pick up a samosa, and begins to eat it with a smile on his face. “I also could use a bath.”
“We have the facilities to accommodate that, Mr. Redmond.” Agni bows his hand, clapping his hands together. “Praise Kali, for bringing you to our country safely!”
“I cannot believe you both kept this as a secret from me!” Soma crosses his arms over his chest, pouting. “That’s not very nice, you know.”
Edgar’s smile makes the pout disappear almost instantly. “I know, my Prince. But, would you have gotten your work done if you knew I was going to be here towards the end of your trip?”
“No, you’re probably right.” He reaches over, and grabs some naan, eating it plain. “I’ll make sure Edgar is taken care of, Agni. Tomorrow - we’ll take him around, okay?”
“Yes, my lord.” Agni has a knowing smile on his face, as he leaves Soma’s room, closing the door behind him.
Edgar sits down on the bench at the end of Soma’s bed. “I love what you’re wearing. Why don’t you wear that back home?”
“You mean, London?” Soma asks, taking a seat on his lap, Edgar placing his arm around his waist. “I don’t know. Because I’m pretty sure that if I dressed this way to work, Ciel would lecture me. And I don’t mind suits. I rather like them. But, as I can tell by your hair, you can see how humid this place is.”
His lover gasps, patting his hair down. Soma starts to laugh, as he sees Edgar smirk. “Yes, your country is a rather warm place.”
“Well, I know how to fix that.” He nods his head, turning to face his lover on his lap.
“Oh?” Edgar leans forward, pressing his forehead against Soma’s. “And what is that, my Prince?”
Soma rubs his nose against Edgar’s. “Take off all your clothes.”
“Is that what my Prince wishes…?”
Pulling back, he gently takes Edgar’s glasses off, and sets them on the trolley. “It’s been a long three weeks, Edgar.”
“I know it has, Soma.” Edgar nods his head, brushes his lips against Soma’s. “Come shower with me? I’ve been on a plane for a very long time, and would like to freshen up before we…”
He slides off of his lap, and grabs Edgar’s hands. “This way, then.”
It takes them a solid hour to shower, as both keep touching the other in intimate ways. This trip has been the longest the two have been separated since starting their relationship, and it feels good to be with one another again. When they finish in the shower, they don’t bother to put towels around their bodies, instead just dry off and head back into the bedroom, where they continue what they had been doing in the shower on the much more comfortable bed. Soma only hopes that no one is nearby, as the two of them are rather vocal with one another. They finally pass out just after midnight, Edgar resting his head on Soma’s shoulder, the two snuggled close to one another, as if being even a centimeter apart would be too much for either of them.

“I thought your family owned tigers,” Edgar says to him over breakfast the following morning. “I have yet to see a tiger.”
“We do!” Soma nods. “They’re out in the sanctuary. We also have a few elephants.”
“Now I know you must be pulling my leg, Prince.” Scarlet eyes widen behind his glasses. “Elephants?”
He nods his head more. “Yes! After breakfast, I’ll show you around my grounds, then we’ll head into the city. Are you going to be flying home with us?”
“I have the seat next to you,” his lover smiles over the rim of his teacup. “Agni purchased it for me, when he purchased your seat.”
“You two have been planning this surprise for that long?” A wave of love comes crashing over Soma. “I can’t believe you two!”
“Believe it, my Prince.” Edgar sets his cup down, and stands up. “Now, show me these tigers, hmm? And elephants? I hope they’re kept separate.”
Laughing, Soma stands up. “Yes, they’re on opposite sides of our property. Which do you want to see first?”
“Tigers.”
“Very well.”
He leads him to the sanctuary, where a few of his siblings are lounging around. He introduces Edgar to them as a close friend, but he can see that his sisters know, but don’t bother him. Soma is glad that someone is around, because one of his family’s tigers takes a liking to Edgar immediately, and will not leave his side. Soma hands his phone to his sister, who takes picture after picture of the two of them, posed and candid. As a family, they all head to the other side of their home, and enjoy spending time with the elephants. More pictures are taken, mostly of Edgar finding another kindred soul with the female elephant.
“Come on, let’s go clean up, so I can show you the city.” Soma grabs Edgar’s hand, waves at his siblings, and then drags him back into the house.
Showing Edgar where he grew up makes him rather proud, especially because he can see that Edgar seems to be very interested in everything he shows him. It’s the best way to end his trip back home, being able to share it with his lover. They stay out so late, enjoying the nightlife, that they both decide it’s not worth it to sleep, as their flight home is over ten hours long. Soma takes Edgar out to the garden, sitting amongst the night blooming jasmine, as they both tell each other just what they’ve been doing for their jobs while they’ve been apart. Before they realize it, the sun is rising up in the east, both still very awake.
“It’s time to head to the airport, gentlemen.” Agni appears at the entrance to the garden. “Your bags have been packed into the car. We are just waiting for the two of you to join us.”
Soma nods. “We’ll be right there.” Agni leaves the two of them, as Soma looks into his lover’s eyes. “I’m really glad that you were able to come out here with me, Edgar. Having you meet my family, and getting to see how I grew up really means a lot to me.”
“It means a lot to me too, my Prince.” Edgar leans forward, placing a soft kiss on his lips. “Especially knowing that we get to share these things together, and not just through a telephone is what really makes it special.” He takes Soma’s hand, and interlocks their fingers. “You’ll have to come meet my family in France.”
“I would love that.” Soma agrees without hesitation. “Maybe in the autumn?”
Edgar smiles. “That sounds wonderful. Now, we should probably go before Agni comes and drags us out of here, hmm?”
“Right!”
The trip back home is as uneventful than the journey had been out to his home, except for one difference. This time, he gets to be with his lover, instead of just Agni. Not that Agni is all that bad, he loves him, but Edgar…. Edgar is his true love, and it feels really great to be able to share this small part of his life with him. He hopes that the two of them will be able to take another trip out here together, one that isn’t just twenty-four hours for Edgar, but at least a week. He’ll wait to ask Ciel about that until after he reports back on his successes for his business trip before he asks for more time off.
“Soma!” Ciel’s driver - Bard - waves his hand. “Ciel asked me to pick you guys up. But, I didn’t expect a third person.”
Agni is quick to rush up to Bard. “It’s of no matter. There will be room for him. If there is not room for me, I will take a cab home.”
“Nonsense.” Bard pulls the smoke out of his mouth. “Just would have brought the roomier SUV, rather than the town car.” He opens the trunk. “You gents can get in. You look exhausted as all hell.”
“We are.” Soma nods, barely able to move his body to the car. Edgar enters first, then pulls him down into the car, his head instantly connecting to his lover’s shoulder. “Come home with us?” He whispers against his neck.
Edgar nods his head. “Of course, my Prince. I had already planned on that.”
“Good.”
He closes his eyes, as he hears the front car doors open and shut, Agni sitting up front with Bard. Edgar’s hand starts to rub small circles on his lower back, making him relax. He’s back home, with his lover seated right next to him. As nice as the three weeks in Bengal had been, he’s quite happy to be back in London. Especially with Edgar.

Part of my SomaEdgar series
Soma’s amber eyes go back and forth between the white pawn and knight pieces, not sure which one he wants to move on the chessboard. He looks over at his opponent, whose single blue eye is staring out the window, the autumn afternoon passing by. Soma taps his finger against his lips, lost in thought, hands hovering over the two pieces.
“Oh, just pick one!” An outburst assaults his ears, as he lifts his eyes to see his best friend wearing a grimace on his face. “You’re taking too long.”
“I don’t think there’s a rule where there’s a time limit on how fast I have to move a piece. Is there?” He asks, fingers held above the chessboard. “You didn’t tell me that there is a time limit, Ciel.”
“There’s not, but when you take this long, it seems a bit-”
“Young master, Lord Soma has every right to take his time with his move.” Ciel’s khan-sama walks into the room, a silver tray on his hand. “It is time for your afternoon tea.” He sets the tray down, and begins to pour hot tea into two cups.
He exhales, fingers pushing the pawn forward one space. “Fiiiine. I’ll make my move.”
“Thank you.” Ciel moves his king to be next to the piece he’s just moved. “Checkmate.”
Balking, Soma stares at the piece. “No fair! That’s not a legal move!”
“But it is.” A low, almost sinister chuckle comes from Ciel. “I know everything there is to know about chess, Soma. It’s not my fault if I happen to excel at this game, when you do not.”
“You won’t teach me!” He pouts, crossing his arms over his chest. Sebastian sets the teacup in front of him, but he refuses to look at it. “If you would teach me, then we would have a fair match!”
Ciel lets out a barking laugh. “We will never have a fair match, Soma. Try and keep up. Maybe you’ll learn by osmosis.”
“Aaaaaaagni!” He calls out, still pouting. He hears Ciel still laughing, making him want to call out again for his faithful servant to come and rescue him from these horrible feelings.
His own khan-sama walks into the room, carrying his own tray. “Lord Soma! This just arrived for you!” He walks over to him, and takes the lid off the tray, revealing an envelope.
“What the bloody hell is that?” Ciel asks, taking a sip of his tea. “Are you sure that’s not addressed to me? That looks like my cousin’s handwriting.”
Soma picks up the envelope, and takes a look at the addressee. “No, it’s for me.” He smiles, pleased to see the look of displeasure on his friend’s face. He opens it up, and pulls the note out.
“To Prince Soma Asman Kadar - We request your presence at the Midford Estate on the 12th of October. Please arrive by one in the afternoon. We will accommodate you with a carriage both to and from our estate. You shall return home by late evening. If this is acceptable, please send your response posthaste. We look forward to seeing you. Your Friend - Edward Midford”
Glancing up, he sees Agni is watching him. “It looks like it’s happening this weekend! Is there a response card?” He asks.
“There is. Shall I say that you accept?” The joy that is on his khan-sama’s face is reflected on his own.
He jumps up and nods. “Yes! Absolutely! And they’ll be sending a carriage! Oh, I must go telephone Edgar!”
“Redmond? What the blazes for? Who is sending a carriage? What is going on?” Ciel interrupts his train of thought. “Sebastian, is that note truly meant for him?”
Trying not to let the negativity of his friend cloud his happiness, Soma grins, and hands the letter over to him. “It is for me, dear Ciel! Not you! I’m going to call Edgar to see if he received his invitation as well.”
“Why is Edward inviting you over to their place? Are you sure that I’m not invited?” Ciel groans, rubbing his hand against his left eye. “I don’t want to see Aunt Francis.”
“My lord, it as Lord Soma says. It is meant only for him.” Sebastian examines the note.
Soma looks at Agni. “Please go ahead and send my response, Agni.” He walks out of the room, and heads to the small vestibule, where the telephone sits. He picks it up, and requests the residence of the Redmonds, which the operator quickly places the call for him.
“Good afternoon, Redmond residence,” a distinguished voice drawls over the line. “How may I assist you this evening?”
“May I speak with Edgar, please?” He asks. “Please let him know that Prince Kadar is calling for him.”
“One moment, please.” He hears the phone is set down, and waits anxiously for his lover to pick up on the other end. Soma does not have to wait too long, the sound of his lover’s voice coming through the earpiece as if he were standing right beside him. “Prince Kadar, are you there?”
His heart hammers hard in his chest, butterflies coming to life in his belly. “Yes, I’m here, Edgar.”
“Prince, it is so good to hear your voice.” Edgar speaks softly, causing Soma to lean against the wall for support. “Are you calling because you received Midford’s invitation?”
“I am! Please tell me you received yours.” He talks excitedly into the phone. “Are they really going to send a carriage?”
“We will be sharing one, if that’s alright?” His lover replies. “If we’re to be out late, would it be alright to spend the evening at your place afterwards?”
Soma doesn’t take a second to think about it. “Of course that will be alright!” He smiles. “Do you think we’ll be going hunting? What should I wear? Should I dress in traditional English garments?”
“Just wear what you normally wear, my Prince.” Edgar’s soft chuckles makes the ever present butterflies flutter madly. “I’m sure that what we’ll be doing won’t require you to change your entire wardrobe for the occasion.”
“Okay, Edgar. I’m excited to go to the Midford estate. I had thought they had forgotten about what we spoke about.” Soma sees Ciel coming out of the den. “I have to go.” He replies, not wanting Ciel to hear his conversation with his lover.
A soft sigh comes over the earpiece. “So soon? I was hoping we’d get to catch up a little bit longer. I’ve missed you, Soma.”
“Ciel is here.” Soma whispers. “I mustn’t be rude to him.”
“Ah, I did not realize that Phantomhive was around. Yes, I understand. I shall see you in a few days time, my sweet Prince. I love you.”
“I love you too.” He whispers, hanging up the phone just as Ciel stands in front of him. “What’s going on, Ciel?”
“Why were you just whispering?” He asks, clearly perturbed. “And since when do you receive letters to this address?”
Soma adjusts his ponytail, as he walks with Ciel towards the drawing room. “Since you allowed Agni and I to reside here. Are you upset because I am receiving mail, and you are not?”
“Not at all,” Ciel scoffs. “I’m just surprised, that’s all. This is your home.”
“Ciel!” He falls upon his best friend, hugging him tightly. “Ciel, that’s the first time you’ve said anything so nice!” He cries, holding onto him. “Agni! Agni, come quick!”
“Get off of me!” The young Earl attempts to push him off, but to no avail. “Sebastian!”
Agni walks towards the two of them. “What is it, Lord Soma?”
“My friend has admitted that this place is our home!” He cries, clinging to Ciel. “Isn’t that wonderful, and so generous of him!”
His khan-sama drops to his knees, and holds his hands in prayer. “Praise Shiva, and praise Lord Ciel!” He cries out, head looking up to the sky.
“Young master, I do believe you’ve made a terrible mistake.” Sebastian comments, a smirk on his face.
Soma clings to his best friend, still touched by how nice of a statement it was to hear that his best friend’s home in London is his true home. He doesn’t even hear Ciel reply to his khan-sama, so lost is he in his weeping.
“Oh, shut up.”
***
The following Saturday, Soma waits patiently for his carriage to arrive. “Agni, do you think that I look okay?”
“You look like a vision from Kali, Lord Soma.” Agni’s bright smile makes Soma feel like he’s made the right decision by choosing to wear British clothing for their afternoon outside. If he can tolerate wearing that awful school clothing back at Weston, some traditional hunting attire shan’t hurt to wear. Agni fixes his coat. “There. You are perfect.”
“And is everything set for Edgar to stay this evening?” He asks, placing his hunting cap on his head, plum colored hair in a long plait down his back. “I assume that we shall return around nine or ten.”
“It has been taken care of.”
“I’m glad that Ciel went back to the country.” His best friend had taken his leave the day before, stating he had some business that he needed to attend to. This allowed Soma to not worry about having to sneak Edgar into the house. Even though Edgar had been invited to the Phantomhive ball, he knows that Ciel only did it out of courtesy, and not out of necessity. He looks out the window, and sees a carriage slowly approaching. “That’s Edgar!”
He opens the door, and makes his way down the path, a slight chill in the air. The sun is high in the sky, not obscured by clouds this balmy autumn afternoon. Perfect weather for a hunt. He hears Agni following behind him, and only stops short to allow Agni to help him into the carriage properly.
“Good afternoon, Kadar.” Edgar leans out the window of the carriage, a smile on his face. “And hullo to you, Agni.”
“Good afternoon, Mr. Edgar!” Agni returns his hospitality. “This place you are both going to this afternoon, you trust them?” The footman sets a stool down, allowing Soma to step up into the carriage, taking a seat across from his lover.
Edgar nods his head. “Yes. They are Phantomhive’s relatives, and I do believe that Midford is a knight.”
“Oh, they are related to Ciel!” Agni claps his hands together, looking up at the sky. “Then, it shall be a wonderful family affair!” He closes the door to the carriage. “Goodbye, Lord Soma. Please enjoy your afternoon!”
“I will, Agni!” Edgar taps the roof the carriage. It starts to roll away from where his khan-sama is standing. He leans out the window, and waves rapidly. “We’ll be home later tonight! Goodbye!”
He slips back into the carriage, sitting back down on the seat as Edgar draws the curtains on the windows. As soon as there is no more visible environment, Soma launches himself towards his lover, settling on his lap to hug him, and kiss his face all over.
“Prince!” Edgar laughs, Soma fitting comfortably in his arms. “What’s with the enthusiasm? And did I not tell you that you could wear your beautiful Indian clothing?” His hands go to the short trousers that Soma is wearing. “Not that I am complaining about these, as you look rather dashing in this attire.”
Laughing, Soma sits himself sideways on Edgar’s lap, resting his head on his shoulder. “I know you said that, but I really don’t mind wearing your stuffy British clothes. Plus, it was a good excuse to have some new clothes made.”
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen your hair like this.” His lover touches the plait that’s resting between his shoulderblades.
If he had been wearing his normal attire, he would have felt Edgar’s fingers on his back. But with his thick coat, it barely registers. “I thought it would look better like this, rather than try and tuck it all under this silly cap.” He points to the hunting cap on his head.
“Well, I’m happy you did not cover it.”
“Will it take us long to get to the Midford’s estate?” He wants to take a peek out the window, but can hear other traffic beside them, letting him know that they are still making their way through London. “I’ve never been there before.”
“It is my understanding that it is not very far from where Phantomhive lives.” Edgar places his hand on top of Soma’s thigh. “So, it should not take too long.”
They discuss what they’ve been involved with for the past few weeks - Soma doing nothing of terrible importance, Edgar spending most of his days at home or helping his uncle. Soma wants to ask about why he bothers doing that at all, as he knows he can’t stand the man, but family is family, so he knows better than to approach it. When Edgar is ready, he will tell him. Perhaps there’s something brewing that he isn’t aware of yet. Or, maybe it’s all just boring things and Edgar just doesn’t want to talk to him about it. It does make the time go by quickly, the carriage starting to slow down before both of them realize it.
He slips off of Edgar’s lap, and sits on the opposite side of the carriage, pulling the curtains back. “Oh, wow!”
“Yes, it is an impressive entrance, is it not?” Edgar looks out the same window. “This is my first time visiting.”
“Glad I’m not alone, then!” Soma smiles, and notices two people standing outside. “Oh! I think Midford and Greenhill are outside to meet us!”
The carriage comes to a stop, the footman opening the door. Soma exits the carriage first, per Edgar’s silent request, and steps gingerly onto the soft gravel. He steps to the side to allow Edgar to follow him, the two of them walking over to the two gents that are standing at attention for the both of them.
“Afternoon! Glad you both could make it.” Edward says, with a small bow. “I trust the journey was an uneventful one?”
Soma nods his head. “It was quite pleasant, thank you!” He sees Herman and Edgar sharing pleasantries with one another. “What is on our agenda this afternoon?”
“I thought we might do a bit of hunting, if you’re up for it?” Edward says, as the three naturally follow him towards the stables. “We have quite a lot of game on our property, should you wish to free hunt. Or, I can see about releasing one of our foxes, and we can go out with the hounds.”
Herman walks over to them, blonde hair slicked back with a cheerful smile on his face. “Let’s hunt some of the game! Whoever comes back with the most kills is the decided winner.”
“I have not brought anything to hunt with,” Edgar reminds them. “And I do not believe that Kadar has ever gone hunting before.”
“Not here.” Soma concurs with his lover’s statement. “I went hunting in my palace, but that was a long time ago. I’m not familiar with your traditional customs when it comes to hunting.”
“I can loan you a gun, and a horse. Two, as a matter of fact.” Edward says, as the four of them approach his stable.
Edgar turns to look at him, Soma having no idea what is going through his lover’s mind. “Just one mare will do. We will ride together. I am to assume it will be the two of you versus the two of us, is that correct?”
“I do believe that’s the best way to go about it.” Herman answers. “So, is it decided? Whoever brings back the most kills wins?”
“How much time?” Soma watches his lover find out the rules, having no qualms about letting him lead the conversation. He doesn’t know what to say, so just keeps his mouth shut and observes instead.
Edward looks up at a clock on the wall. “Let’s say… three hours. Does that sound fair?”
“That sounds too long!” Soma speaks, ducking his head as the three look at him. “What?”
His lover pats his shoulder. “When we’re out there, it won’t feel very long. Trust me.” He smiles, Soma instantly nodding his head to go along with whatever his lover wishes. “Three hours sounds sufficient. Now, the supplies?”
“This way!” Edward leads him over to a small shed next to the stables.
“You two doing well?” Herman asks him, making casual conversation. “I know that Redmond was really torn up the day that we had to leave Weston.”
Soma feels heat rush to his cheeks. “Yes, we are okay now. Thank you for your concern.” He lifts his head, and sees that jovial smile on the ex-prefect’s face. “How are you and Midford doing? Well?”
“Very!” Herman nods his head. “It’s rather nice, getting to spend the day like this with the both of you. It should be a fun hunt!”
“I hope so.” Soma returns the man’s enthusiasm with a large smile.
Edward and Edgar walk back over to the two of them, along with two horses. “We’ll both ride double. These horses are used to carrying additional weight, so it won’t be too much of a problem.” Edward says, after saddling up both horses. “So, 3 hours from now. See you both then?” He hops up onto the horse first, Herman sitting behind him.
“See you.” Edgar waves, as the horse takes off. He turns to look at Soma, who is wearing a look of worry on his face. “What’s the matter, my Prince?”
“I’m not sure if i can ride that.” He points to the four-legged creature. “Riding an elephant is one thing. Riding this?”
His lover’s sweet laugh pierces his ears. “My Prince, if you are able to ride an elephant, this should be child’s play.” He helps guide Soma to straddle the horse. Once he’s settled, Edgar climbs up and sits behind him. “Do not worry - I will make sure that you are safe on this beast, Prince.” Lips touch the shell of his ear, making Soma sway a little.
“I believe you, Edgar.” He smiles, and holds onto the reins. “Right. Which way shall we go?”
Edgar takes a moment to look both directions. “Since I believe those two went to the right, we should go to the left.” Edgar clicks his heels against the horse’s midsection, getting the animal to move at a trot. “Let’s hope the fowl are aplenty out this way.”
“I believe that Kali will grace us with her good fortune, and shall allow the two of us to show those two who are the better hunters.” He leans forward, as the horse begins to trot a little faster. “And who makes a better couple.” He laughs to himself, as he feels Edgar’s chest press against his back.
“I hope you’re right, Kadar. Because I’d love to see Greenhill’s face if we were to best the two that call themselves Lions.” Edgar joins in with his laughter.
They trek through the woods, Soma getting the hang of the horse after a few false starts. Edgar touches his upper arm as a signal to slow down, and then gives it a squeeze to give the horse a kick. He covers his ears when the gun is fired. Edgar is a good shot - they wind up shooting four pheasants, and a rather large brown hare. That had been tricky, requiring the two to move off of the horse to track the four legged creature. Just as they are about to give up, it darted out, Edgar moving fast to shoot the animal.
Tying their kills to the back of the horse, they begin to trot back towards the main house, Edgar keeping his arms around Soma’s middle. “You were right,” Soma says, as he steers the mare back towards the house.
“What was I right about this time, Prince?” Edgar asks, keeping his chest pressed close to Soma’s back.
“The time going by quickly. I did not realize it has already been three hours.” He guides the horse towards the stables, and stops suddenly when he sees the other two. “Oh, goodness.”
“What is it?” Edgar asks, then looks over his shoulder at the reason why Soma has stopped. “What in bloody hell happened to the two of you?”
Edward and Herman are drenched to the bone, Herman’s once coiffed hair now going every which way on his head. It’s parted down right side, with what looks like pond scum clinging to some of the strands. Edward’s hair is no better, looking like a wet dog, hair limp around his face.
“We fell.” Edward replies, with a grunt.
“I said I was sorry!” Herman rushes up towards their host, who holds up his hand to push him away.
“It is quite alright.” He looks up at both Soma and Edgar. “So? What’s your kill count?”
His lover hops off the horse, and unties their loot from their hunt. “Four pheasants, and a hare. And you?”
Herman steps up towards them. “Two red grouse, and a mallard!”
“Which would explain why you fell into some water!” Soma claps his hands, a smile on his face. “Well, that means, we win!”
“Yes, Kadar. That’s what that means.” Edward concedes. “Which should we eat for dinner this evening?”
Soma crosses his arms over his chest. “How about….one of our pheasants, the hare, and your mallard.”
“That seems fair.” Edgar stands close to him. “What do you say, boys?”
The ex and current Lion prefect nod their heads. “Fair, indeed.” Edward takes one of the pheasants and hare from Edgar, and then heads towards the servant’s entrance. “Greenhill - I will have someone come up to your room, to draw you a bath.”
“Thank you, Eddie!” Herman calls out. The young Midford stops walking. “Oh! Right! Sorry! Thank you, Midford!”
Edward shakes his head, then makes his way inside the house.
“Let’s get this horse put away.” Edgar looks up at Soma, a smile on his face. “You think you can handle it, my Prince?”
Without taking direction, Soma leads the mare back into the stable, and hops off of her when she comes to a stop. “I’m afraid I don’t know how to take this off of her,” Soma gestures to the saddle.
“Do not worry, my Prince.” His lover appears at his side. “I will take care of it.”
Herman had gone back inside, leaving the two teens out in the courtyard. Edward comes to get them after a few minutes, and they are led inside, where they are shown to a lavatory to clean themselves up after the hunt. Soma takes a look at the two of them in the mirror, and can’t help but laugh.
“What’s so funny?” Edgar asks, standing next to him.
“Look at us!” Soma points at the mirror.
Neither of their ponytails had held their hair quite the way they should have. Soma’s got hair flying every which way under his cap, and streaks of dirt on his nose and forehead. Edgar’s hair is all but loose, the tie which holds his ponytail in place at the very end of it. His face has more dirt on it than Soma’s, as he had gone through the trouble of picking up their kills. Edgar chuckles, then grabs a washcloth.
“I’ll clean you up, if you help me?”
“Yes!”
***
Dinner proves to be more lively than Soma anticipates. Edward’s family joins them in their feast, the matriarch congratulating them on an impressive hunt. Unlike Ciel’s dining room, everyone sits close together, which Soma rather enjoys. It’s nice to be close to people when eating scrumptious food.
“You boys are welcome to come here and hunt anytime you like,” Edward’s father states. “Especially if you always have such good fortune. Seems that we never have this good of luck.”
“It is because of Kali, who has listened to my prayer.” Soma says matter of factly.
Edward’s father chuckles. “Well, I’m glad that Kali was able to give us a bountiful supper.”
“Indeed, father.” Edward says.
At the end of the night, Edward and Herman walk them out towards their carriage. “This was fun!” Herman says, that ever present smile back on his face. “I think we should do this again soon!”
“I think that would be lovely.” Soma nods his head. “Maybe we could do it at your place next, Redmond?”
Edgar tilts his head, thinking for a moment. “I suppose that could be possible. I would have to check with my family first.”
“If not, you both are always welcome to come back here.” Edward says, closing the carriage door. “I do believe you were a hit with both of my parents.”
Soma leans out the window. “They were very nice! Thank you for having us!”
“Thank you for coming. Be seeing you.” Edward taps the door, the carriage begins to roll forward. “Safe journey home!”
“Bye!” Both Soma and Edgar wave, then sit back down.
“I think that went rather well.” Edgar undoes his coat, letting it fall open.
He nods his head, taking off his cap. “It was fun! I’ve never hunted like that before! Thank you for being patient with me.” He unbraids his hair, then puts it back up into its normal ponytail. “Aaah, much better.” He sighs.
“Always, my Prince. I will always be patient with you. You never have to worry about that.”
“I’m so glad, Edgar.”
When they get home, they tell Agni all about their hunt, going into minor detail for him. After each time Soma tells him about Edgar’s kills, he falls to his knees to praise Shiva, which makes the storytelling go on for longer than necessary, but neither of them mind. After enjoying a warm cup of tea, the two head up to Soma’s bedroom, which Agni has turned down the bed for them.
“Good evening to you both.” Agni smiles, before closing the door, leaving the two alone with one another.
Without being prompted, Edgar begins to help Soma get undressed. His fingers tremble slightly, as he tries to do the same for his lover. Edgar places his hand over Soma’s, lowering his hand down to take his own garments off. He lays down on the bed, leaving room for his lover to join him, which he does with a smile on his face.
“It’s a little cold this evening, isn’t it?” Soma asks, shivering slightly.
Edgar scoots closer to him, pulling him to lay against his chest. “It’ll be warmer if we cuddle together…”
“You just want me to lay in your arms.” He teases his lover, glancing up to stare into his scarlet eyes. “But, I wish to be here anyway.”
“Do you mean that, my Prince?” Edgar lowers his head, brushing his lips against Soma’s with a hint of a kiss.
He closes his eyes, and nods his head. “Absolutely, Edgar. If I could have it my way, you would be in my bed nightly.”
“Perhaps I can arrange to stay for a week for my next visit?” The tip of his tongue touches Soma’s cupid’s bow.
Groaning softly, Soma revels in the way his lover teases his lips. “I would like that very much, Edgar. But, if you are unable to, I understand.”
“We’ll see what can be arranged, my liege.”
Their talking ceases, as they communicate with each other through soft kisses, and gentle touches. They fall asleep, holding onto one another, keeping the warmth between the two of them, for it is a rather chilly night. And the constant contact helps both sleep soundly throughout the evening.

“When will I see you again?” Soma asks, as he walks with Edgar to his carriage the following morning. “Tomorrow? The day after? Please say tomorrow.”
Edgar smiles wistfully, cupping his hand against Soma’s cheek. “I will see what I can do, my Prince. I may be gone for a bit, but have no fear. I shall remain in contact with you, should I have to travel out of the country. We will be together again soon.” He leans over, placing a soft kiss near his sideburn. “I’ll miss you, Soma.” He whispers into his ear, before embracing him tight.
“I’ll miss you more, Edgar!” He tries not to cry, but a few tears slip out of the corner of his eye. “We’ll see each other again soon.” He lets go, and watches Edgar get into his carriage. “Goodbye! Thank you for everything!”
His lover smiles, blowing him a kiss with his hand. “See you soon, Prince!”
After standing on the sidewalk for a few moments, the carriage disappears from his view. A large hand touches his shoulder, bringing him back to reality. “Come along, Lord Soma. I shall make you your favorite meal for lunch.”
“Thank you, Agni.” Soma hugs his khan-sama. “I hope he’ll come back soon!”
“I’m sure that he will. We will just pray to both Shiva and Kali, and ask for their divine guidance.” Agni pets his hair gently.
He smiles, and gives a nod of his head. “I’m sure they will hear our prayers!”

The bed dips a little, the weight shifting on the bed as something is removed from it. Soma groans, rolling over to ball tighter into his cocoon of the hotel bed’s sheet and blanket. He hears someone chuckle softly, bringing a small smile to his face at the sound of it. He had been afraid that the last twelve hours had been a dream, but apparently, they had not been. Darkness soon surrounds him, as something blocks out the light.
“Good morning,” a soft pair of lips touch the side of his mouth, “hope you don’t mind me borrowing your shirt.” Another soft chuckle leaves their mouth, as the light returns.
Soma blinks a few times, and sees Edgar Redmond walking towards the bathroom, his button up covering up the model’s backside, short blonde hair a mess on the top of his head. He smiles, and moves to lay on his back, folding his hands underneath the back of his head, sleep no longer an option for him. He hears the sound of the shower turning on, the walls thin in his suite, masking nothing.
“Soma, come join me, won’t you? I have to be back on set in an hour.” Edgar’s voice calls out to him.
Pushing the sheets off of his body, Soma looks down at his naked body, admiring the bite marks that still throb a little (albeit pleasantly so). Memories of the night come flooding back, as he pokes one of the marks on his thigh, the smile remaining on his face. “Alright, Edgar! I’ll be right there!”
“Better hurry, Prince.” Edgar calls out in a sing-song voice.
“Alright, I’m coming!” Soma hops up from the bed, and makes his way to the bathroom, hearing the water change as his lover is no doubt standing directly under the spray now. He says a quiet blessing up to Shiva, thanking her for his good fortune, then heads into the steam-filled room.

“Are you sure you have everything?” Ciel stands next to the car, a grim look on his face. “Soma, you cannot mess this up. These are important people that we must sway to work with us.”
He hands his bag to one of the airline porters, who hands him a tag. “I know, Ciel. Don’t worry. When have I failed negotiating for our company?”
“Do you really want me to answer that?” There’s a blank expression on his boss/best friend’s face.
Soma rests his hand on Ciel’s shoulder, a big smile on his face. “Don’t worry, Ciel! I will make sure everything goes well! I’ll be back in a couple of days. And then, you will see that it was wise that you sent me, instead of going yourself!” He turns to the man who drove the two of them to the airport, who is standing by his side. “Agni, I will see you soon!” He hugs his personal assistant close, clinging to him.
“Please have safe travels, Master Soma!” Agni cries, hugging him back fiercely. “We will be here to pick you up at 5pm sharp in two days!”
Ciel coughs into his hand. “I knew I should have had Bard bring the two of us.” Soma pulls away, wiping his eyes with the back of his hand. “Have a good trip. Make me some money.” Ciel gets back into the car, slamming the door shut.
“Goodbye!” He waves at the window, putting his satchel over his shoulder, as he bypasses the ticket line, and heads to the priority screening line. Traveling as often as he does for the Phantomhive Corporation has its perks every now and again.
He makes it to his gate, his flight to New York City not leaving for another hour. He pushes his sunglasses to rest on top of his head, as he heads to the airline’s private lounge. Grabbing a glass of wine, he goes and sits at one of the tables looking out at the tarmac, and pulls his iPad out of his satchel, wanting to go over some of his proposals before getting on the plane. He pulls his phone out of his slacks, and notices that he’s got a text.
“Are we still on for a visit in two weeks? I miss you. I need a dose of my Prince. :)” Soma takes a sip of his wine, trying to calm his nerves at seeing an unexpected text from his lover, Edgar Redmond.
“Yes, we are. :) And, good timing. I’m just about to board a plane.”
“Oh? Where are you jetting off to now? Tokyo? Sydney? Is your boss with you on this trip?”
Soma laughs, remembering the last time he had traveled for work, Ciel had accompanied him. Never again, his best friend had stated, after not being able to keep with Soma during the negotiations, and entertaining the clientele afterwards. The entire flight home Soma had to endure Ciel complaining about his incredible hangover, while Soma chatted to Edgar via the plane’s wi-fi service. He takes another sip of his wine, and texts his lover back. “Thankfully, no. I’m alone, and heading to the Big Apple. Where are you? Are you still down in South Africa?”
The model/businessman had been shooting a new clothing line campaign down in Johannesburg. Soma had received a few different picture texts, with specific instructions to not upload anywhere, of his boyfriend in tight leather pants, and only those pants, showing off different jewelry. One of the pictures he had set to be his home screen, and would look at it often while at work, instantly feeling better whenever he was feeling blue.
“Yes. But, I’m returning to London in two weeks. Where are you staying in NYC?”
“The Waldorf Astoria. Is it a nice hotel, Edgar?” He’s only been to New York one other time, and it was only to get a connecting flight to Boston.
“It is, my Prince. I hope your work trip goes well. Looking forward to seeing you in two weeks time.”
Soma knows that Edgar is ending the conversation, and does not bother to reply. He knows that if he sends another message, there will be no point. He sets his phone to be in ‘airplane’ mode, drains what’s left in his glass, then stands up and heads to his gate, as it is close to priority check-in for business class.
***
He arrives to a rainy New York City, a tad bit upset that he had forgotten to check the weather. Luckily, Ciel’s secretary had arranged for someone to pick him up, so he was on his way as soon as he walked out of the airport. When he arrives at his hotel, he finds out he’s been upgraded to one of the signature suites, free of charge. Soma doesn’t bother to question it, and instead takes his key, and heads up to his suite, hoping that the bed is a comfortable one.
As much as he enjoys traveling for the Phantomhive Corporation, sometimes Soma wishes he could just sit at his desk, and do his work there. But, he’s good at what he does, and as much as he hates chasing the sun to go backwards in time, he will do it for his friend, and for the company. It is just half past three when his head hits the pillow, the 8 hour journey across the Atlantic catching up to him. He kicks his shoes off, but doesn’t bother to do anything with his slacks, vest and button up shirt. At least he remembered to pull off his tie before laying down.
The lights of Park Avenue pull Soma from his sleep, waking him up just after six in the evening. Rubbing his eyes, he sits up and checks his phone, to see if he has had any missed calls. He sees one from Ciel, but doesn’t bother to ring him, as he knows it’s after midnight back home. The last time he had called Ciel this late, he had incurred his wrath the following day at work. No, he’ll just call him back tomorrow morning.
Getting up, he heads into the bathroom, and admires just how extravagant it is. Why he was upgraded to a signature suite, he doesn’t know, but he won’t be complaining because the amenities sure are worth it. After freshening up, he leaves his tie off, but puts his shoes back on, and heads downstairs to the hotel lobby, deciding to have a drink before he attempts to find something for dinner.
The bar is packed with 9 to 5’ers all schmoozing with one another. He keeps to himself, ignoring any looks that either sex seem to throw his way. Tucking some of his plum colored hair behind his ear, he walks up to the bar. Before he even gets a word out, the bartender places a vodka martini in front of him.
“Excuse me? I did not order this.” He leans over, speaking loud enough to be heard over the din of the bar.
“That person ordered it for you, sir.” The bartender points to a gentleman sitting at the far end of the bar. “Enjoy.”
Soma forgets about the glass as his eyes focus on the man who has purchased his drink for him. His stomach drops to his feet, which are glued to the floor, mouth hanging opening in shock as he sees someone that should be thirteen thousand kilometers away from this very place. He picks up the drink, and walks over to where Edgar Redmond is seated, a pair of dark Ray-bans on, hair pushed back in a different hairstyle, no doubt to avoid recognition.
“You! LIAR!” He shouts loud, before attacking Edgar with an enthusiastic hug. Tears stream down his face, as he hugs his lover in a tight embrace, sobbing when he feels him return it. “You’re supposed to be in Johannesburg!”
They look at each other, Edgar wearing a satisfied smile on his face. “I lied. When we spoke earlier, I was already here in New York. I’m here for business.”
“Not modeling?” Soma asks, standing as close to him as he can without it being obvious to those around them. “Is it because of you my room is super nice?!”
Edgar smirks, and gives a small nod of his head. “Guilty as charged. I couldn’t let my Prince sleep in an awful commoner’s room on his first visit to this splendid city.”
“Come up to my room? Right now?” Soma asks, drink forgotten. “Let’s leave this loud place, and go somewhere where it can be just the two of us.”
“I have tickets to see a Broadway musical tonight.” Edgar finishes his drink, a forlorn look on his face.
Soma wants to curse Shiva for giving him such a wonderful gift, only to take it away from him in a split second. “I understand.” He bows his head. “Well, Edgar - it was nice to see you. I will let you enjoy the rest of your night. I leave the day after tomorrow.” He picks up his martini glass, and quickly drinks the entire contents before setting it back down.
“Soma, wait.” Edgar touches his hand, stopping him in his tracks. “I meant that I have tickets to a show tonight that I want to take you to.”
Feeling foolish, Soma wishes he hadn’t drained his glass as fast as he did. “Alright. We should probably go soon, yes? Is Broadway far from here?”
“I’ve got a car waiting outside of us.” Edgar takes his hand, but not before fixing the vest of his three-piece suit. “Come on, Prince. Let’s go for a night on the town.”
A night on the town is exactly what Soma needs, as the two of them watch the hottest ticket on Broadway, then head to an exclusive restaurant where they dine in a secluded booth. The two talk about what they’re doing in New York, but Soma spares Edgar of the boring specifics on his meetings that are to take place in the morning. After getting ice cream from an artisan shop, Edgar’s driver takes them back to the Waldorf Astoria.
“You’ll come upstairs with me, won’t you?” Soma asks, not wanting to part yet from his lover. “Please?” He hopes he doesn’t sound as desperate as he feels.
“That has always been the plan, Soma.” Edgar smiles, nodding his head.
They take the elevator up to his suite, both standing possessively close to one another, even though the compartment is empty, except for the two of them. When they get to Soma’s room, Edgar is quick to put the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on the door, allowing the two of them to be completely alone with one another, no one to interrupt them.
***
Soma’s head tosses back with a loud moan, Edgar’s teeth sinking into the flesh of his inner thigh. Edgar’s finger tickles his entrance, making Soma push his hips down to make the torture stop. “E-Edgar, please…” He moans, fingers pushing through his short blonde locks of hair.
“I like making you a mess, Prince…” Edgar moans low, as Soma tugs on the strands of his hair. “It’s been so long since I’ve gotten to hear you moan.”
“You ha-heard me….a few weeks ago…” Soma’s cheeks grow warm as he remembers the night when they decided to try having phone sex with one another.
Teeth sink into his skin of his lower stomach, another loud moan slipping past his lips as the finger that’s been teasing him finally slides into his body. “Seeing you, and hearing it in person, is entirely different than hearing it through the phone, Prince.”
“Aaaah….” Soma doesn’t hear a word he says, and instead is moaning loud, the sound bouncing off the walls. A second finger pushes into him, spreading him open. “E-Edgar….”
The fingers that have been inside of him leave his body, and is soon replaced by the tip of his lover’s arousal. He opens his eyes, and stares into the beautiful scarlet eyes of his lover, still not believing that the two of them are together, in a place where they were never meant to meet. But now that they’re both here, Soma welcomes the good fortune he’s received, and accepts it with a loving smile on his face.
Their intercourse is intense - more intense that Soma can remember it ever being. Perhaps it is because it has been a few months since they’ve last seen one another, or maybe it is because they’re meeting unexpectedly. Soma doesn’t know, nor does he question it. He closes his eyes, allowing Edgar to take him to new heights, showing him just why their relationship works so well.
One orgasm is followed close by a second, and then a third comes after a long, and slow session. Soma doesn’t bother to look at the time, because he knows deep in his heart that he should be sleeping, but this….this time he’s getting to spend with Edgar is so much more precious to him than sleep is. Their bodies move together as one, kisses scattering over sweat-covered skin, their hair damp with sweat.
They fall asleep, tangled in each other’s embrace, Soma reveling in the warm embrace of Edgar’s arms. It’s a feeling that he wishes he could get used to, but their schedules don’t allow it to happen that often. So, with a small silent prayer, he holds Edgar close, as they hug each other for the duration of the night.
***
Soma walks into the bathroom, and sees Edgar is standing under the spray, as he thought he would be. “How long are you going to be in New York?” He asks, as he steps into the shower, marveling at how beautiful his lover’s body is. He wishes he could have left the same marks on his skin, that Edgar had left on his own body, but he knows that Edgar’s body needs to stay perfect for the cameras.
“I’m here until the weekend. Why?” Edgar asks, handing him a bottle of soap.
“Come back here tonight? Tell them you’re my guest, so they can give you a key.”
“Don’t you have to go out with the clients after your meetings?” Edgar asks.
“You remembered.” Soma smiles, as he washes his body. “Yes, I do, but I don’t anticipate being out too late. Probably until nine or so?”
“This is one of the cities that never sleeps, my Prince.” The blonde takes the soap back, and begins to wash his own body.
“Good, because I do not wish to sleep tonight. I can sleep on the plane ride home.” He washes his hair, then stands under the spray of the water.
Edgar looks at him, scarlet eyes seeming to sparkle. “Then, neither of us shall sleep this evening.”
“Wonderful!”

The meetings and negotiations seem to drag on and on and on. Soma wants to just bang his head on the desk, but instead, he listens intently to proposal after proposal, adjusting his glasses when he feels himself starting to drift to sleep. His plum hair hangs on his face, allowing him to have an excuse to play with his hair when he wants to. The meetings finally come to an end, but now comes the part of his job Soma would care to do without, but he knows he’s good at what he does, so he puts on a big smile and heads out to Manhattan, making sure that his Phantomhive Corporation credit card is ready to use.
Soma waves goodbye to the last person at twenty minutes past eleven. Way later than he had hoped he would be out, but there had been no avoiding it. The towncar takes him back to the Waldorf Astoria, but it feels just like his meetings had earlier in the day. A snail could have arrived at the hotel faster than the car that was driving him, he’s almost sure of it. When the car pulls up to the valet, he hops out, graciously saying thanks before charging into the hotel at almost a full run.
He gets up to his room, and sees Edgar laying on the bed, completely naked. He swallows audibly, grateful that his lover had not disappeared. His head turns towards where Soma is standing, a smirk on his face. “I thought you were never going to come back.”
“You could have sent me a text,” Soma rips his tie off of his neck, and quickly unbuttons his vest. “I could have used it as an excuse to leave sooner.”
“Now, Prince, why would I do that, when I know that this is your job?” That smirk stays on his lover’s face, who is still laying down, body turned to watch his every move. “Are you drunk?”
Soma shakes his head, pulling his slacks off with one swift movement. “No. I stopped drinking three hours ago. I meant what I said. I want to stay up with you all night.”
“Good, my sweet Prince. Because that is exactly what I wish for as well.”
Clothes gone from his body, Soma moves to lay on the bed next to Edgar, where his lover pulls him towards him, their lips connecting with a deep kiss, Soma losing himself to his lover for the second night in a row.
***
“I wish that I didn’t have to go to the airport already.” Soma covers his mouth, as a soft yawn escapes. He’s fixing his button up shirt, before tucking it into his pants.
Edgar stretches out gracefully, his beautiful naked body a picture that Soma wants to keep fresh in his mind for the entire journey home. “I wish that you didn’t have to go either. But, I’ll be back in London in two weeks, and then, we’re going to enjoy a nice weekend together, okay? No meetings, no phones, nothing. Just you and me.”
“It sounds like pure heaven,” Soma nods his head, slipping his shoes on his feet. He grabs his satchel and luggage, and puts them both by the door. He walks back over to the bed, and leans down, kissing his lover with a soft kiss. “I’ll see you soon, Edgar.”
“You will, Soma. These next two weeks will fly by. You’ll see. And then, we’ll be together again.” A hand wraps around his tie, pulling him back down to Edgar’s lips.
After sharing a few more sensual kisses, Soma stands up, and adjusts himself. He ignores the smirk that’s on his lover’s face, and instead offers him a small smile. “Goodbye, Edgar. This was a wonderful surprise. Thank you for sharing this with me.”
“Thank you, Prince, for being so amazing.” Edgar smiles, hair falling onto his face. “Please, have a safe journey home. I won’t be too far behind you.”
“I’ll send you a text when I get home.” He kisses his cheek one last time, before heading out of the hotel room, unable to say the words ‘goodbye’, because he does not want to say them. He wishes he could stay in that bed with him all day, all week, for eternity. But instead, he gets into his towncar, and is driven to the airport, separating him from the one person that means everything to him.

“Lord Soma!” Agni shouts, as Soma enters the baggage claim area for his flight.
“Agni!!” He races towards his assistant, and falls into his embrace. “Oh, Agni!! I had the most marvelous time in New York!”
“You did?” Agnit hugs him tight, before stepping away from him, and bowing. “Praise Shiva! I was hoping that you had a wonderful trip!”
“Agni, the most wonderful thing happened!” Soma tells him, as they get his bags and put them in the car.
Agni pulls away from the curb, and looks into the rearview mirror. “Oh? What has happened?”
“I saw Edgar!” He smiles happily, almost bouncing in his seat. “I got to spend two nights with him!!”
“That is wonderful, Lord Soma!” Agni’s smile rivals Soma’s, his hands clasped in front of him as if he was saying a prayer. “Will I need to pick him up from the airport soon?”
“No, he’s stuck doing business for the next two weeks. But then! Then, you will need to make sure we have the finest feast prepared, as a welcome home gift to him.” Soma leans back against his seat, as traffic slows their journey home.
“Very well, Lord Soma. I will make sure to take care of everything.” Agni nods his head, then returns his attention to the road.
Soma pulls his phone out of his pocket, and quickly sends a text to his lover. “I made it back home. Agni was thrilled to hear that I got to see you. I miss you already. See you soon.”
“Tell Agni it was my pleasure. And yes, my prince. I will see you soon. Glad you returned home safe and sound.”
He smiles, before placing his phone back into his pocket. He still doesn’t know how the two of them have wound up in this strange relationship that they share, but he really would not trade it for anything. Dare he say it? Is he falling love with Edgar Redmond? Just thinking it makes his heart beat faster, solidifying it in his mind. Yes, Soma is falling in love with the model/’playboy’ that is Edgar Redmond.
Wow, onna. We went dark with this character, didn’t we? ;) Okay, no problem. I can do this. This would be my version of Edgar in the SomaEdgar series ‘The Sun & the Fox’.
Send me a character + room:
Attic:
What is the character afraid of? Not succeeding in life. His diploma from Weston was taken away from him, and without that, he feels like he will never be able to accomplish what he should, considering his family heritage.
How do they deal with bad memories? Repress. He represses his bad memories, not that there’s a whole lot. He does have nightmares about the incident which causes his expulsion from Weston, but tends to downplay any other bad memory he might have. He once was frightened by his uncle when he was a child, walking in on one of the man’s ‘song birds’, and had the misfortune of seeing a girl be demoralized by said uncle. It might be one of the reasons why he leaned to prefering the same sex, as after that event, he never really looked at a woman the same way.
What is this character’s role in a horror movie? Gosh, he would be the yuppy that would die like 2 seconds into the film. For sure. Sorry, Edgar. I love you, but yeah. You gonna die. LOL
How do they hide their secrets? By not talking about them. Plain and simple. He keeps things hidden away deep inside of his mind. However, thanks to his beautiful Sun Prince, he begins to allow himself to admit things that he would normally not tell another soul. There is something about his Prince that makes him reevaluate the way he handles the way he keeps his secrets. He doesn’t want to have any with him, not if he can help it.
Which of the Seven Deadly Sins does the character relate to most? Pride. Absolutely pride. His Prince is showing him that perhaps that characteristic isn’t as glamorous as he once thought it was, given his family heritage. He’s getting much better on how he deals with his pride. Baby steps.
