The world of Karseilles (kar-SAY) is a Temperate world found on the Southern edges of the Kingdom of Midgård, nearing the border of the Ultramar Domain. During the age of The Forging, Midgårdian explorers came across this world of Feudal Lords and rolling fields, and formally established contact some months later. Over the years the Kingdom would formally colonize the neighboring worlds around Karseilles, and start trading with the then leader, Grand Seignour Marc Lyonesse.
Over a Century later, the Knights of the House Chevailer would aide in the Campaign against the growing Waagh! menace in the Kingdom, their high mobility and heavy weaponry more than suited to hunt down the marauding convoys of Gargants and supply trukks that kept the Waagh! in piece. Numerous victories would embolden the Nobles, making them perhaps too sure of themselves. This would be a mistake, when the Splinter Fleet of Hive Moloch arrived in the Kingdom. Many of the upper Echelons of the House would die in the ensuing conflict, losing many of the revered knights that had stood the test of time. Now, there are only some 35 Knights left now on their world.
The House is slowly rebuilding their Knights, stubbornly refusing Midgård’s involvement in aiding them in construction (they will accept raw resources, but they will not let any Tech-Priests, Savants, etc from aiding them in ‘making’ the suits.)
The current leader of the House is Grande Dame Noémie Durand XIVe, a family who was prominent prior to Lyonesse’s rise to power, who was devastated during the Tyranid Campaign and the death of Lyonesse.
(Will write a short blurb of Noemie in a few hours!)
