sup Kit it's me the one who cries over Troubled Souls BECAUSE YOU ARE TEARING ME APART (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) but not here to cry about the fic but here for that character interaction ask you got going, could I get it with UT Sans and Swap Pap? Or if that's not your speed perhaps some Swap Pap and Asgore if that's ok aye?
Aw! I’m so glad you’re enjoying it!! Thank you! ^//^
And, why not both?

1. Romantically—
Hmmmm.... Okay. There’s two ways I can see this going: 1. A short-term relationship that eventually stagnates and falls apart, or 2. Something more long-term that’s forged by lots of exterior pressures. Let me elaborate:
Normally, I think both of these boys only think they want to be able to relax and chill. I honestly think they actually do better when someone (gently) pushes them to be better and to get up, get out, and do things—and then celebrates and rewards them for pushing themselves. Neither of them would push the other, so long-term, I think they’d drift apart and find themselves falling in love with other people.
However! The exception is if they face a lot of pressure and stress outside the home, something they can’t really escape from. Then their relationship would be a refuge. A safe place from the stress and anxiety of the outside world. They’d be intensely close, but...it might even edge a bit into being codependent. Once they were removed from that high stress environment, though, I think they’d probably be bonded together by their experiences.
2. Platonically—
The sassy boys. They chill and relax together, and talk a lot about absolutely nothing. They banter and trade puns back and forth, but I don’t really think they open up to each other about anything. They aren’t the types to open wounds, even theraputically. There’s a silent agreement that, if the other wants to talk about a thing, they can—but no one is going to pry for more information.
Swap Papgore
1. Romantically—
Their relationship is soft and sweet. They’re lovable goofs, both of them, and their relationship reflects that. Asgore loves to spoil Rus—mostly with his baking; Rus is a bit of a foodie—and Rus is both flustered and flattered by all the attention. When he’s in the wrong mindset, Asgore’s affection can sometimes feel like too much, too overwhelming, but that’s pretty rare. Over time, he learns that it’s all genuine and he really starts to trust that Asgore means what he says.
Though I don’t think things would typically go as disastrously wrong as they do in “Troubled Souls”, I do think the subject of kids would eventually break them up. Asgore wants them, and Rus doesn’t. And I don’t think they can make it past that. T-T
2. Platonically—
They joke and laugh together...but I think they also really open their souls up. I think Asgore is one of the few people Rus is honest with—probably because he’s safely behind the door—and Asgore tells Rus as much as he can without revealing who he used to be.
It’s a very intimate friendship, and I think Asgore might be half in love with Rus from the start. Above all else, though, he wants to see Rus happy and healthy and safe. He’s very paternal, even when he’s not trying to be.
