Some Fox

The newest renovations of Freddy’s Family Pizzeria had only done wonders for them; from new games to new shows, there would be something for anyone who went to the once-infamous pizza place. Sure, there were plenty who didn’t forget what took place, but this establishment was a veritable paradise in an otherwise slow and plodding town. It brought some much-needed energy into the nearby communities, and everyone seemed to have a different favorite show.
With a lot of older kids, that favorite was clearly and obviously Foxy. His room sported the largest arcade in the place, extra-special prizes for birthday kids, and a huge ship stage on which the old sea fox would perform with various Freddy’s crew members. Pirates had a certain kind of charm and popularity that never seemed to die out, and Foxy was nearly in a league of his own. Some kids, even the older ones, would swear that the character felt nearly alive up on stage.
What none of them could know is what went on after hours. With only one guard in the place, the animatronics were allowed to wander on their own. The first to get up, always, on any given night, would be Foxy.
The pirate had never particularly cared for the rules, bending or breaking them when he thought it’d be funny. Not supposed to move until midnight? Well, he’d begin to move an hour early. If he felt like it.
Foxy emerged from his stage, doing some mock-stretches as he glanced around the Cove. Wait- what? There’s someone still here... and he’s not the guard that’s supposed to be on duty tonight. “Oy! Wow, wot, I can see ‘im better wit’ one eye than all o’ the employees ‘ere can see ‘im? That be ridiculous.”
The pirate approached the- oh. That might explain it a little. The guy’s sleeping. Okay, maybe it didn’t really explain anything. Regardless, Foxy approached the man. He’d better wake him up before Bonnie decided to wander over and intervene. Gently, the pirate prodded the guy’s shoulder with his left hand. “Oy. I think ye slept a bit late there, lad.”
