i used to love the idea of soulmates. like you were created just for one person. but i don't really like that anymore. i think that you can be compatible with multiple people throughout your life. you meet someone and you think it's gonna last forever, that you're meant to be; but then something goes wrong and you think "okay, they're not my soulmate then. it's gotta be someone else". but you WERE compatible with that person. it used to work. sometimes people break apart, but that doesn't mean they were never right for each other. besides, how are you going to find that one person amongst everyone in the entire world? fuck that. it's never gonna be "meant to be" but it's gonna be a hell of a ride probably. you'll form nice and meaningful relationships, whether they be platonic, romantic or sexual. you never know where things go and maybe that's alright
