Staring at Verse in slight confusion, Angumilla responded “It… isn’t? What are these water structures for, if not respite for aquatic peoples?” As she said that, she stepped out and ungracefully tripped over her cloak’s sleeves. It was somewhat uncomfortable to be this far from the ocean and so close to what looked …mostly? like a human. Especially while her movement as a relatively short legged quadruped was hindered for the sake of the cloak’s protection from darkness. Did humans have metal parts sometimes? Or glowing eyes? She wound up inquiring “What are y- I mean… Who are you?”
“Generally, they are considered aesthetically pleasing.” Or so the reploid had been told. A simple reply, Verse apparently unbothered by the question. “Most beings like yourself would find comfort in larger structures” As the OVER-unit had been lead to understand, organics tended to find small spaces ‘claustrophobic’. “We have areas better suited to your needs until I am able to discern the best course of action regarding your whereabouts.” He watches her rather awkward foray out of the fountain, arms remaining folded despite the creature’s tripping.
“I am this world’s guardian. One of my primary functions has to do with the observation and regulation of other worldly entities.” As for the aquatic one’s half asked question, it is apparently an expected one. “I am a machine built for transuniverse travel. You will find my ability to assist you is equal to any other sentient life form.”
