Why do Layton hints start as passive-aggressive to then develop into straight up insults?

HINT 1:

"Here's what you have to do! Although, I'm sure you don't need any more hints, do you? This is such a simple puzzle! Surely this is all you would need to know, isn't it?"

HINT 3:

The other day I searched up Brenda so I had a reference to draw her for Mother's Day, and...

Today I had a... bizzare dream.

It started with me entering Miracle Mask and spawning in front of Dalston's house. It was really really late so It looked kind of like a haunted mansion?

Anyways I went inside and while I was alone for a bit, later on young Hershel and Angela came in the house too. Th only problem?

ANGELA LOOKED LIKE THIS:

My dream-me had understood that it was apperantly a bug in the game, but I was afraid that it would remain like that forever.

Later we found a TV and I could choose a cutscene to put, and among the options was: "Gay men in 1988" That I somehow knew was referring to Hersh and Randall.

I then woke up COMPLETELY dehydrated and since I was still half-asleep I though that it was because I had been in the desert.
