Heaven Knows...
//this is a closed rp with @somebotsarejustgold // Gabriel stepped out into the cool air of the night as he exited the Taxi he had managed to hail back at the airport. It was late, roughly 3:20 in the morning. The light of the moon illuminated the new environment around him and made the freshly fallen snow seem to glow around him from the moonlight it was reflecting off it. It was peaceful, and it was quiet. And it was his first day in America. This was all so different from the little Village he had lived in back with his family in England. Sadly for the young man, after coming out to his incredibly strict Catholic parents as being pansexual, he was thrown out of his home without a second though. The 18 year old boy didn’t even have time to pack up his things. Lucky for him, he had a friend who let him stay temporarily at their home until it was decided by Gabe, and his friend who lived over in America, who he had been writing to since he was much younger as his pen pal, that he would go to america and live with him in his home. So, after being gifted a one way ticket to America, it wasn’t long before Gabriel left the small town he had been raised in. Gabe had never actually left England before, and never flown in an airplane before, so this was to be a big Adventure for him. Within a week, the young man had boarded the plane in the London air port and proceeded to fly over to America with nothing but a small bag with two extra pairs of clothes that his other friend had lent him. The flight took roughly 11 or 12 hours, and every bump the plane hit made Gabe tighten his grip on the arm rest next to him.... He wasn't terrified of flying, but the bumps made him kinda anxious and a bit nervous....but eventually, and to Gabe's relief, the plane arrive and touched ground safely. After arriving in America and having to go through customs, Gabe used what little money he had been given to buy himself some food from the only place open that was serving food at 2 in the morning. After eating, Gabe scrounged up what money he had left and caught a taxi Ride all the way to the home of his friend who was far to kind to take him in and allow him to live with him. It was a blessing for Gabe in his eyes… he had never been so grateful to anyone before… Gabe spent the entire car ride with his face pressed against the window, staring out at the new world he had been invited into. Though it was dark outside the small taxi, he still didn’t want to miss a chance at seeing the environment. Once the car entered the outskirts of the city, Gabe finally sat back in his seat and took a deep breath. This was honestly all so exciting, but also a bit scary for the teenager. This was really the farthest he had ever been from his home before in his life… it held that sense of thrill and excitement in him, but also fear of the unknown. This was going to be his home now… but he missed his family… he knew that he should of been upset with his parents for what they had done to him, but the young man loved them. They were his family after all… Now Gabriel stood there on the curb, looking down at the address of the house he was supposed to be at as the cool nights wind ripped though his thin jacket. the young man shivered and pulled the jacket closer around his body and looked up at the home that loomed above him. This place was huge. This couldn’t be the place. but this was the address he had been given…. The young man honestly wasn’t sure if this was the right place…. fear and anxiety filled him, as he thought To himself 'Maybe he give me the wrong address.' but yet, there was no where else for him to go. This was a foreign country to him… he didn’t know his way around this place… this was the only place he could go to since it was the address he had been given. So, Gabe took a deep breath, stuffed the piece of paper into his pocket and hoisted his bag over his shoulder before proceeding to walk through the freshly fallen snow up to the front door of the home. ‘please let this be the right place…’ he thought to himself as he knocked on the large door before stuffing his hand back into his pocket. The young man took a few steps away from the door and quietly waited for it to open to him….
