Some things aren't fixable. They aren't reversible, or undoable. We can't make them disappear (or pretend they aren't there.) They aren't rational, they aren't anyone's fault. • Some things happen no matter how good a person you are (or aren't). No matter how much you wished/prayed they wouldn't happen. • We speak of karma, manifesting, punishments, contracts, growth opportunities. I believe in some aspects of some of those things. In the great cosmic design, I believe that we may see individual chess pieces but much of the game is lost to our purview. Even so, I can tell you - you didn't deserve this. This didn't happen because there's something secretly dark inside your heart that's reflecting out. Your imperfect self didn't cause this to happen; neither did your imperfect love. Perfection is an illusion, and a convenient weapon for those that cannot face their own darkness. We all make mistakes, sometimes horrible ones. • I can't give a why anymore than anyone else. But I do know, some bags must be carried, and if you keep wandering around looking for a way to offload it, you'll accomplish nothing except fatigue and frustration. Continuing on in that vein leads to resentment, anger, and disillusionment. As humans, we face tragedy and trauma. Sometimes the only sanity comes through acceptance that it's unfixable and irreversible; a bag we will carry for the rest of our lives. • I also know that through trauma and tragedy, a healer's heart is born. A healer isn't a fixer, contrary to popular opinion. A healer is someone who's heart has been broken open wide, perhaps many times. Someone who's walked the path of mistakes, pain, illness, and fear, and is willing to sprinkle a little lighted fairy dust along the path (no matter how narrow, twisted, and broken it may be.) Someone that's able to understand without judgement; speak the language. Perhaps it's not a reason for the inexplicable, but perhaps - it is.
