This is full of mild thrills because you know, it’s all corporate and there’s alcohol nearby and that’s the legal equivalent of swimming in a shark feeding frenzy, BUT, more importantly, it would be full of people who like thrills. And finding your tribe on a Caribbean ship doesn’t sound too bad...

The Wave in Arizona. There’s a lottery to get a permit to hike this terrain. The BLM has all the info here.

Seems pretty surreal and reminds me of that Salvador Dali painting, “The Persistence of Memory”. In no way does it remind me of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, but that is what these amateur film makers thought would be a good soundtrack. Oh well.

I want to go here. On a sunny day.  Is that so much to ask? Maybe? It’s Mykonos, Greece. I’d probably set up an easel and paint it. How does one enjoy a pleasant scene when you are in it? Just....look at it? This...I struggle with. Maybe after the sensory deprivation chamber, that will all change.

Sensory Deprivation Chamber! I guess this is what a sensory deprivation chamber looks like? Seems like the sense of wetness/dryness might be going off, but how do I know? I’ve never tried.

In my google image search for some content, I realized most had people floating in water like the above. Reminded me of a scene in “Stranger Things”. (Spoiled. I’m not ever sorry)

I have heard, that you can find yourself in some weird head spaces in one of these things. Some say that you can have experiences akin to an acid trip.

A friend of mine experienced one of these as a birthday present for himself, and said that they advise you not to move around so as to remain out of touch with the physical world - but that he broke that rule (perhaps out of fear? I don’t know)

I’ll probably never be a morning person. But sometimes exceptions must be made. Albuquerque NM holds the largest hot air balloon festival in the world, with 700+ balloons in its duration. It happens in October. Perhaps that is where I’ll be in October 2017...

But even just watching the video is kind of awesome, since you can’t watch real life in time lapse, anyhow

Relampago del Catatumbo is a phenomenon that happens at the mouth of the Maracaibo river in northwestern Venezuela.

More than half the days of the year there are lightning storms! They say 140-260 nights a year there are lightning storms.

And so, of course, if it’s a strange phenomenon of the world, I want to see it. I imagine a week stay would get you at least one, right?

I just have to make sure I’ve got my bug spray, because it’s near the swampy mouth of this river which is probably jammed up with mosquitos. Hopefully not Zika.

Tomato festival. Specifically, “La Tomatina” in Buñol, Valencia, Spain, near the central eastern coast on the Mediterranean.

It happens annually on the last Wednesday in August. It’s important that it’s a Wednesday, because you want to make sure that the 9-5ers can’t make it, I guess. (Also, you could go to burning man immediately after this. Just a thought).

Basically it’s a big food fight. Among Adults. And the only food is tomato.It should be no surprise that most of the people in the google image search results are dudes.

Would it be awesome to have one of these in the USA? Yes, but I am fairly certain that organizers would face a lot of heat from people about wasting food while we have starving people in this world. So I’m guessing that the only places this will exist are the places that started the tradition before activism became as widespread as it is now. So, basically, only in Buñol,

St. Louis City Museum: The Adult Sized Playground!

Part of being an adult is that you have transformed your likes from ice cream ... to whiskey, from naps ... to 70 hour work weeks, from running around for no reason...to running around for 5 kilometers to make sure you’ve “still got it”.

I guess being an adult has its perks, and one of them is being able to eat cake, and then buy another cake to have. So, since you can enjoy ice cream and whiskey, and you can take naps and work a 70 hour week (just call the naps your full night’s sleep, I guess), I think it’s reasonable to have adult sized playgrounds, with adult scale challenges. Nothing wrong with that. In fact, there’s everything right with that. And American Ninja Warrior is the proof.

So, while I’m one of the millions who would like to try out ANW, I think on a less competitive scale, this would also be awesome. Next time I’m in St. Louis...
