The water terrified you the unknown beneath its depths your greatest fear the water has always been my safest place my one escape You were born of the fire the burning passion the rage the destruction the heat you created was enticing like the summertime but just like summer your flames dimmed down and left me frozen again But I was born of the water mysterious depths not yet discovered so much possibility of life so much risk of destruction the push and pull of the water surrounded us I reached for you your fear made us drown But from the water I rise again Healed and whole and alone You rose from the blue flame on shore alive again and enraged And so I realised The depths of my waters will never calm the rage in your heart The healing of my touch will never calm your fears Though I found comfort in your warmth Summer was never meant to last forever And Neither Were We
