Whenever I’m freaking out my friends always calm me down by not only agreeing with me, but taking it to the extreme.

Like I’ll say “this isn’t working. I’m just going to give up” and then they’ll say “good idea. But don’t stop there: you should give up on everything you’ve ever tried. Without immediate success, everything you do is actually a failure”

Or I’ll say “I’ll never find a job!” And they’ll just go “yeah. You’ll be out of work forever and you’ll end up homeless and no one will love you because you’ll stink.”
