Agree that Darcy’s pride comes from a whole collection of things, not specifically the Fitzwilliams or Pemberley. But Darcy himself attributes it to his parents: “I was given good principles, but left to follow them in pride and conceit. Unfortunately an only son (for many years an only child), I was spoilt by my parents, who, though good themselves…allowed, encouraged, almost taught me to be selfish and overbearing…”
I don’t quite follow. Darcy isn’t proud of being an only son; that’s just the circumstance that his pride developed in. I was talking about what he’s proud of, not how he picked it up.
