oh man, in the age of the internet I have no idea what counts as obscure anymore. but ok here’s some stuff that ain’t famous
1. My Beloved Detective, that Russian Rule 63 Sherlock Holmes movie I made transcripts for that one time. Contains many tongue-in-cheek Russian cinema tropes that will make very little sense to anyone who isn’t from Eastern Europe but don’t worry, Russians don’t really think London is populated solely by gentlemen in tuxedos with poodles.
2. Star Rangers by Andre Norton. I read the fucking slipcase off that thing as a teenager. It’s some decline and fall of the roman space empire last roman legion spaceship action adventure wait, suddenly telepaths and angsty hurt-comfort with lizard-people???
3. Does anyone remember Emily Rodda? Because she was so damn prolific child me despaired of ever reading everything she wrote, but never stopped trying. I never see her about these days, though. Teen murder mysteries! Teen journalism! Teen journalist murder mysteries!
