Beauty and the Beast: The SNS Version
The story begins where Sasuke, the prideful Uchiha heir, is visited at his castle by an old decrepit pale-faced woman. This woman confides she has the power to restore his clan’s power and status in the Land of Leaves should he give her just one thing: a chance to be a part of his family. The young Uchiha shoves her aside, mocking her for such bold claims. Little does he know that this is actually the ancient sorcerer Orochimaru in disguise. He asks the young man once more but the Uchiha foolishly denies his offer without giving it any thought. That is when Orochimaru reveals his true identity.
Sasuke, immediately recognizing the man, calls out for help but he grabs Sasuke by the neck and silences him. Orochimaru knows how the Uchiha have been made outcast in the Land of Leaves for generations, living in their isolated estate deep into the forest at the outskirts of the country. He condemns the young Uchiha and his family for their arrogant nature, releasing a curse that turns them into blind, crippled, grotesque creatures devoid of the beauty and strength they pride themselves in. Unlike the others, he leaves Sasuke with his sight, warning him that he has seven years to find someone who will accept him in this state before the curse binds for life.
The infuriated Uchiha shuts the door on him and breaks everything in his way before storming up to his tower and isolating himself from the world. He scratches at his face and yells at his family who start shriveling away as the years pass. And as the years pass, both they and Sasuke start losing hope. Until one day . . .
