Day 2: Favourite Lyric

It’s a depressing lyric but I love it. It’s my favourite character’s lyric, Alyssa Greene. It shows how much she tries to please everyone around her but feels like she can’t at the same time. The part you’re not what she wants always gets me. At the end of the song Alyssa Greene she uses the line as if she’s talking about her mother and Emma. She wants to be the perfect daughter for her mother but she also wants to come out and be with Emma publicly, but she feels as though she can’t do both at the same time. Alyssa shows how hard she tries with everything but can’t please everyone at once. The lyric breaks my heart but makes me so proud of Alyssa at the same time
