Tahir/Val: Routine kisses where the other person presents their cheek/forehead for the hello/goodbye kiss without even looking up from what they’re doing
Fall means that Tahir will have more cause to complain aboutthe chill in the air, but it also means that Kaylie gets to play in large, piles of crinkly leaves. Val isn’t sure which weighs more strongly to them.
Especially notwhen they can have both. They don’t look away from the exuberance with whichthe Great Pyr burrows into the leaves when Tahir slips an arm around theirwaist. They do lift their chin, unbothered by the chill air that greets their skinwhen they abandon the protection of their scarf to allow the kiss Tahir brushesagainst their cheek. It’s a familiar intimacy, a call-and-response that alreadystarted to become a habit when they were friends, but which has gained shadesof closeness since they entered into a relationship.
They lean intohis side and tug his hand away from their waist only so they slip their intertwinedhands into their coat pocket. “Do you want to go?” they ask, glancing at himfrom the corner of their eye. There’s a flush of colour to his cheeks, but theycan’t tell if it’s from the chill or from a blush.
A blush, theydecide when he covers his eyes with his other hand and stutters on hisresponse. “T-That’s alright.”
They gentlysqueeze his hand and let their eyes drift back to Kaylie, who has rolled ontoher back and is now snapping at the leaves when they fall onto her face. “Thankyou.”
They aren’tlooking at him, but they don’t have to to feel the way he looks at them orimagine the smile on his face, still flustered but also flush with affection. Then they don’t have to imagine anything at all, as they can feel his smileagainst their skin when he kisses their temple. “I would put up with far worsethan this cold for you.”
It draws a small, involuntary smile from them and they look at him when he pulls away. “Howromantic,” they say, equal parts tease and affection.
He kisses them, then, a brief and chaste press of lips. “Is that better?” he asks, amusementdancing in his eyes and in his grin.
They hum, pretending to consider. “I’m not sure yet,” they murmur, leaning more fullyagainst him, before they draw him into another kiss.
Keiji/Tahir: Sated kiss
“I’m never moving again. Carry me.”
Tahir’s tiredlaughter, warm against his shoulder, followed by a light brush of lips againsthis skin. “You’re getting real fucking lazy.”
“So you don’t want a chance to show off yourbulging muscles?”
“My–” A snort. “Wecan’t all be twinks.”
“Thank fuck forthat, can’t have too many people in this market niche. Gotta keep the brandexclusive.”
“So I can carryyou.”
A smug smirk, audible in his voice. “So you can carry me.”
“You’re lucky Ilove you.” Amusement and genuine affection in equal measure, a kiss pressed tothe back of his neck.
A beat ofsilence, then a muffled curse. “That’s rude.”
“I know.”Another kiss, this time met with a muffled whine. “I love you.”
“…ぼくも大好きだよ”
Nat/Tanwen: Top of the head kisses
One downside of having a girlfriend who’s taller than she isthat.. well, there aren’t really any! If she had to name one though, Tanwen would point to the lack of surprisekisses on her part. How can she, when she has to get up on the tips of her toesto even reach Nat’s lips?
And yes, shetechnically could kiss Nat’s neck or collarbone and it might even get her eyesto go all liquid and warm and dark like they sometimes do, but it would alsomake Tanwen so embarrassed she wouldn’t be able to look Nat in the eye to seethat happen which would defeat the entire purpose.
Which leaves herhere, an excited smile on her face as she watches Nat. Her girlfriend (!) is curledup on Tanwen’s couch, which isn’t quite big enough to fit her long limbs. Natdoesn’t seem to have noticed her yet, her attention focused on an old-lookingbook that, from the glimpse Tanwen caught, looks like it’s written in Latin. Most importantly though, is that Nat is sitting down.
Tanwen slipsaround the corner and into the living room, approaching Nat as quietly as shecan until she can lay her hands on her shoulders and kiss the top of her head. She bounces as she straightens up, her already excited smile ticking up a notchat having managed to turn the tables for once. “Good morning!”
She can feel Nat’schuckle under her hands and when she tilts her head back to meet Tanwen’s eyes hersmile is stupefying. Her skin is warm when she reaches up to curl her fingersaround the back of Tanwen’s neck and guides her down for an upside down kiss, making her breath stutter and her eyes slip closed. There’s a flush of redalong her cheeks when she pulls back that makes Nat smile, and when she returnsTanwen’s, “Good morning,” her voice is liquid with pleased satisfaction.
