This post contains no story spoilers, just info on how the Pokeball Plus works (based on my experience so far)
When I wanna switch my pokeball from the smartphone to the switch, just unpairing as if it was any other Bluetooth device works fine, but the other way around I can't do it without pressing the rest button on the ball.
Now when planning to take a Pokemon on a stroll and then using Pokemon Go at the same time, pressing reset sounds scary.
What if the precious Pokemon get's deleted?
So I decided to do some experiments on some not so important Pokemon (sorry cuties).
Here's what I discovered:
Pressing reset after you place a Pokemon in the ball does not remove it from the ball. It stays there and you can keep playing with it inside the ball just fine
You can have a Pokemon in the ball and keep using it on the switch just fine too! When you take it from the ball it adds the experience it got from the stroll with no issues even it leveled up after the stroll started.
Please note that I have yet to evolve a Pokemon while it's in the ball so be careful with that
Pressing reset during a stroll does not erase any action you've done with the ball before the reset. You played with it times then pressed reset? When you end the stroll it'll remember those 3 plays.
How the ball actually works along with Pokemon Go I fear I'm not entirely sure yet since my house is pretty much Pokemon free, but your Let's Go Pokemon should be safe if you ever need to reset the ball with one inside.
(Also, for the ball to make sounds and light up with a Pokemon inside you need to press and hold the stick)
