I wouldn’t offer if I minded, babe~ this is from the “nakedness & waxing” scene I mentioned because it’s probably the least spoilery (just general silliness) lol it’ll take place several chapters in though

Kagome’s phone hit the bed as her hands flew to cover her eyes. “What are you doing?” She shrieked, voice going an octave higher as embarrassment made her throat tight. 

“What seems to be the problem?” Hisoka’s smooth voice reached her ears and she could practically hear the grin in his tone.

“We’re sharing a room and you’re walking around naked like it’s totally normal,” Kagome struggled to keep her voice even. Hisoka could be hard to deal with under the best circumstances. Not being able to see him for her hands as he strode around in all his glory, obviously teasing her, wasn’t even what she would call okay circumstances.

“I have nothing to be ashamed of,” he responded, voice almost haughty, obviously proud of the way he looked.

“You have plenty to be ashamed of,” Kagome corrected. Peeking through her fingers, her face caught fire when she saw that Hisoka standing beside the bed, still naked, staring down at her with a pleasant smile like nothing about this was in any way odd. The last thing she wanted to do around Hisoka was back down from what was obviously a challenge, so Kagome lowered her hands, ignored the heat in her cheeks, and made sure her eyes were fixed firmly on his face. “But I can see why you’re not ashamed of...that.”

“That?” Hisoka asked innocently, head tilting to the side.

Not breaking eye contact, Kagome waved her hand to vaguely gesture to the entirety of his body. “That.”

Hisoka’s grin grew as he continued to stare Kagome down, and Kagome could feel herself starting to break. ‘Don’t smile. Don’t,’ she told herself. ‘Don’t play his game. Don’t let him win.’ But even as she tried to talk herself through it, she could feel her face flushing hotter and hotter, blinking rapidly to keep herself from glancing down. Finally, she had to squeeze her eyes shut and fling herself down to bury her face in a pillow. “I hate you,” her grumble was muffled by downy feathers, but Hisoka’s laugh rang clearly through the room.

The following seconds were quiet except for the soft sounds of Hisoka moving throughout the room. “Is this better?”

Kagome peeked up from her pillow and saw Hisoka had at least put on some pants. Sitting up completely, she nodded. “Much.”

Smiling at her pleasantly, Hisoka went about his business and walked over to where he’d put his phone on to charge. He ignored her as he tapped around on his screen for a moment, but he finally glanced up as Kagome continued to stare at him. “Something on your mind?”

Kagome debated internally for several long moments, almost speaking up twice but ultimately closing her mouth each time before the words came out. As Hisoka continued to patiently wait for her to say whatever she was waffling on, Kagome finally decided that when it came to Hisoka, her dignity had no real value because she really doubted he cared about what she wanted to ask. “Do you wax?”

Hisoka blinked at her twice before looking to the ceiling, seemingly considering how to answer. Eventually, he turned gold eyes back on her and said, “Bungee Gum has lots of interesting applications, even outside of fighting.”

Kagome let his words sink in before she felt her face fall. She pressed a hand to her forehead and took a deep breath before asking, “You...use your Nen...to wax?”

Nodding with a pleasant hum, Hisoka lifted a hand, wiggling fingers coated in elastic pink aura at her. “I can do you if you want.”

Kagome ignored the obvious double entendre and instead looked down at her jean-clad legs. She’d been planning to shave when she took her shower, but waxing would last longer. Except it wasn’t really waxing. It was letting Hisoka use his Nen on her. She watched him play with his aura between his fingers for a moment longer, stretching his fingers far apart and letting the Bungee Gum snap them back together, before she finally rolled her eyes and heaved a resigned sigh. “Sure. Why not?”

Snowy Nights

I complain a lot about how I hate living in the cold but when it’s snowing I can’t help but think about how magical it looks.

I just went out on the front porch to smoke a bowl before bed. The snow is coming down pretty hard and there are no cars anywhere (my neighborhood barely has traffic as it is). Everything is glittering in the light of the street lamp.

How can you not believe in magic when quiet snowy nights exist?

Snow Day!

I’m very excited about this snowstorm today. I get to work from home, so I got to sleep in.

But best of all I get to make Snow Water. Snow water has quickly become my favorite kinds of magical water. It just seems so beautiful and pure ❄️💦

Self-Love

Hi guys! I am about to go through some really tough stuff in the next few weeks. I will be spending Valentine’s Day alone, which I am actually partially excited about.

Right now I plan on buying myself flowers, a bottle of wine, taking a bath with my Lush bath bomb, lighting some candles and putting on a face mask. Then I am going to watch romantic movies and cry (it’s healthy!)
