Important Update

Hey my lovely readers, important update!

It seems like my account might be shadowbanned — I’m currently unable to comment on posts or send/receive messages. This makes it really hard for me to connect with you all and keep up with feedback, requests, and conversations. I have contacted the Tumblr Support already but I don't how much time it will take to resolve this issue.

So, I’ve decided to create a backup account to stay in touch with everyone. I will try to connect with y'all. If you’re seeing this post, please follow me there — I’ll be posting all my new works and also try to reupload older content.

I’ll also be sharing a masterlist of all my fics and posts from this account on the new blog, so you won’t miss anything!

Dear @staff @support I cannot put comments on people’s posts and no one can see my posts!

I don’t know why when I reblog things from others they can’t see it and there is no notification and nowhere to be found in reblog list under post.

Hey guys! So apparently my tumblr is broken. My message bar has disappeared along with my messages, and my tagged posts no longer show up under their tags. I've already contacted support, hopefully they will fix it SOMEDAY. Judging by what people say I am far from the only one to get this weird shadowbanny glitch, and i can only hope it will be fixed just like in their cases. I was meaning to post my Tolkien and Dragon Age bits of artober here but for now it kinda feels pointless. Gonna do it in instagram, telegram, and mastodon for now. Dear @support and @staff, please help.

Hello everyone!

My blog got "a bug or crash". Basically, my blog got hidden away from everyone, and my work wasn't appearing in the tags. My messenger bar was also gone. My blog was hidden in searches. And it was only happening on this blog, not my main. It all happened on 25th July's night.

At first, we thought that my blog was shadowbanned but Tumblr does not do that. So after roaming around, we found that it was a "a bug or crash". Then I submitted a support ticket.

Later on, @veneziamadness sent them the complaint request, and they responded to that request! I wanna say thank you so much for worrying and digging deeper into it. And God knows how much I cried about this to you. Love you so much. 💓 She even went back through all of our text to see the differences (they were A LOT) and other differences😭

Today, they finally fixed the problem. They sent me the e-mail on 9th August at 10:42 PM IST. This was their reply:

Hey shawdies ik I've been inactive lately, (trust me Its not cus I wanted to be) (I've been staring longingly at the Tumblr icon on my phone and checking my emails everyday 😭) and that's because I've apparently been shadowbanned.

I know a lot of people say Tumblr shadowban doesn't exist but I have nothing else to call it except a glitch. I haven't been able to see messages for two weeks and all of my comments, even th ones on my own posts, have been deleted :\.

Tumblr I legit just wanna know why you had to do this??? Absolutely devastated rn. I haven't had the motivation to write as much since none of my works have been visible in the tags and newcomers won't even know my blog exists :(( I contacted support ages ago (I'm talking the whole two and a half weeks) but I still haven't gotten an answer.

Emailing them directly also doesn't work anymore either.

Found a way to see Shadow Banned account notifications

So i kinda accidentally found a way to see notifications from shadow banned accounts, after noticing they were showing up on mobile then disappearing when i clicked them i could see the tumblr was detecting them then hiding them after the fact.

So the "fix" honestly more of a hacky workaround. You'll need 2 things A discord account, and a empty discord server with just you in it. Head over to here for a full guide but basically setup a discord web hook, and all your notifications will be sent there including shadowbanned accounts. I think you can only do it from desktop tumblr rather than the app.
