We all served ourselves some breakfast and went to sit at the table. I was the last to go sit and as I approached the table I realized that there was only 6 seats and that they were all occupied. "I...um...," I started, trying to figure out what to do. "You can sit on my lap babe," Harry offered, smirking as usual. "No, you can just share a seat with me," Kenzie jumped in, saving me. Kenzie scooted over and I gave her a look to thank her. Breakfast consisted mostly of immature remarks from the boys. Some were cheeky comments about Kenzie and Lou or me and Harry, but others were just inside jokes. Jokes that Kenzie and I were not on the inside of. When they made those Kenzie and I would just kind of look at each other. Sometimes the boys realized this and would explain the joke to us, but most times they had already begun another joke.
After breakfast, Kenzie and I changed back into our clothes and got ready to leave. We said our goodbye's and thank you's and hugged all of the boys. I noticed that Louis prolonged his hug with Kenzie longer than normal, but she pulled away. Kenzie liked to play 'hard to get'. It was all one big game for her. I went to hug Harry last, who pulled me in really tight and whispered into my ear so only I could hear, "Come back any time love. Maybe next time we can do something other than sleep in the bed." My eyes widened, and Kenzie was watching me so I was sure that she noticed. I pulled away and glared at Harry, who just grinned and winked. I didn't know how else to respond so I just said, "Thanks again boys, babysitting you was a joy," to the general group. Then, Kenzie and I were out the door.
We got into Kaylee's Jeep Wrangler. "So, how was last night for you?" I smiled. "It was a bit uncomfortable but nice at the same time. I'm not sure how to explain it." Kaylee half-smiled. "I know what you mean. I mean, I kept pushing myself from Louis, but eventually I stopped fighting, and enjoyed it, a bit." I tucked a lock of loose light-brown hair behind my ear. "You guys really did look cute this morning." Kaylee giggled, not taking her eyes off of the road. I thought about what it would look like; Louis and I snuggled up on the couch. "do you like him?" Then I thought of what I'd look like, wearing one of his t-shirts, fitting me snugly. Like Harry's did on Kaylee. "Yeah?" I blushed, realizing that she was raising her eyebrows at me, staring off into space.
"I said, 'do you like him?'." she repeated. I scoffed. "Of course not. I've only known him for a night." I gazed out the window, watching the scenery blur by. "Right, Right." Kaylee grinned. "Ugh. I hate when you say that." I rolled my eyes at her sarcasm. "Alright, I'm sorry." she giggled. I turned up the radio, drowning her out. "Heart Attack" by Demi Lovato began to play. Kaylee and I began belting out the lyrics, laughing at the tone-deaf sound of our morning voices. She smiled, but suddenly it faded, and her eyes got wide. "What? What's wrong?" I asked. "What are we going to tell Dad?" she turned to face me.
Kenzie and I had both agreed on a story to tell Paul. It wasn't exactly a lie, but it definitely didn't include everything that happened either. We basically left out the parts where we got close to the boys. We were going to tell him that Kenzie and I shared the small couch during the movie and that we both slept in the living room last night. We could only hope that our dad believed us. We were daddy's little angels as far as he was concerned.
Soon we pulled up to our two story house, hidden in the suburbs. Kaylee and I hiked up the front stairs, and into the house, using the spare key from under the "Welcome" mat. "Morning, Girls." Dad said, from his seat on the barstool, sipping his morning coffee. "Hi, Dad." we responded in unison. "How was babysitting?" he said, after downing a big gulp. "It was... good." we replied casually. hoping he wouldn't notice the nervousness we were trying to cover up. "Good. and how did you sleep?" he raised his eyebrows. "Good, Kaylee and I shared the couch, actually." I said, smiling at Kaylee. "Yup." she confirmed. "Alright, well head on upstairs and get washed up. the boys are having an interview today, and I suppose you can come." He smiled, getting up and setting his dirty mug in the sink. "Thanks, Dad." I smiled. "Oh, and I figure you earned this. I know the boys can be a handful." He chuckled, handing each of us a fifty dollar bill. "Thanks, Daddy." we hugged him tightly.
Kenzie and I both headed up the stairs. Our bedrooms were right next to each other with the bathroom we shared adjoining them. We both went straight to my room. "I don't think he suspects a thing," I smiled to Kenzie. "Not at all," she replied. "So...now for the meet and greet?" I asked. "Hmm, yes, I guess we have to get ready for that now," she smiled. "Let's pick something out for you to wear first," she said as she began rummaging through my closet. We decided on a simple flowery tank top and jeans for me and a cat sweater and jeans for her. We each had different styles, but we knew each other's style so well. After we had laid out our clothes, we took turns showering and doing our hair. Kenzie straightened her hair while I curled mine. Then, she did winged liquid eyeliner while I applied a light Smokey eye. "Five minutes girls!" Paul called up the staircase. "Okay dad," we both responded in unison. We put our shoes on, sprayed some perfume, grabbed our purses, and were out the door.
Within the half hour, we were sitting in fold-up chairs, back stage of the interview. "So, Boys, which of you have girlfriends?" The Interview woman, known as Katie Banks, asked the boys. Liam and Niall raised their hands. "I'm still with Danielle." Liam smiled. The set up Projector shower a picture of Liam and Dani on the white cloth behind them. The reporters aww'd. "And I'm with Ashley, my girlfriend of two months." Then appeared a photo of Niall and Ashley walking in the park, hand-and-hand. She was beautiful. She had flowing dark brown hair, that went down to right above her hips, and shiny brown eyes. She had a diamond stud, Monroe Piercing. She was wearing a tank, floral jeans, and doc martens. Once again the crowd aww'd.
"What about the other three of you? Have your eyes on any girls?" I could've sworn Louis looked back and smirked at me. his eyes looked up and locked with Paul's, who was hovering behind us. "A few cuties here and there." Harry smiled. Zayn nodded his head. "You've always got your eyes on someone, when you have fans as beautiful as ours." Louis crossed his legs. "aww" the crowd swooned. "So what were you boys up to last night? we saw tweets everywhere." she grinned. a list of the boys' tweets were shown on the projector. "Having fun watching movies with @Kaylee_Higgins and @Kenzie_Higgins" Liam tweeted, then the rest of the boys retweeted it. "They're actually here today! They're our babysitters!" Harry grinned, motioning us on stage. my eyes widened. I was absolutely nervous in front of crowds. "C'mon." Kaylee smiled, tugging my hand.
