Noche Buenas

Summary: The Holiday for treats, cuddles, and horror films. What? Nothing goes wrong with the combo.

Characters: Maria Garcia & SunnyDay Jack

Voices and music echo throughout the house at high volumes. The coffee table is a mess with frosting and gingerbread crumbs. With a tired sigh, the Medium rests on the couch and hums.

"Sunshine...I don't think you should watch this movie. It doesn't fit the Holiday." Jack chuckles, eying the blood splatter of the movie. The vibrant guy had managed to make the Grinch get into the spirit. But he should've known that she find a loophole for horror.

Maria shrugs her shoulders as she focuses on a gingerbread man. "Hey, it has Christmas in the title. Let me have this, Jack." She glares for a second and back to the task. Hearing him sigh, she smiles at her victory and hums. "You should take off the makeup. I swear, isn't it annoying?" It catches his attention as taking the empty spot next to her.

"What about you? This is the first time I see you in it." He chuckles, poking her side, and grins. "You wouldn't leave me alone. Besides, I will go see my family later on. Don't try anything, Mister." Maria warns, plating the cookie with the stack. Making eye contact, she feels guilty to see him force a smile. It will be the first time that both will be separated since their first meeting.

Sitting up, she gathers her items to head to her family party. "Be careful, Sunshine. Merry Christmas." He whispers, appearing to embrace her from behind. Feeling her turn in his arms, his eyes widen to feel her lips on his cheek. "Feliz Navidad, Jack. Enjoy my baking." She hugs him back and parts to head to her car.

Being taken back, he goes over what she was focused on. He chuckles at seeing the treat looking like him and another like her. Taking a bite, he stays in place and waits for her return. With his prediction, both enjoy the last few hours in their arms and give in to the cheesy holiday movies.
