I thought you all would like to see something really cool, my personal #mortarandpestle made from solid #brass and rather old. It was a gift from my in laws, they got it when they were young newlyweds traveling across Europe, I think they said they found it in a shop in Bulgaria. I use it in cooking and #herbalism when I'm making my herbal teas. Fun fact that I am pretty sure most people don't know, I've been studying herbalism for over 20 years, starting my learning very young in my mom's and grandmother's garden, finding edible plants and blending them into odd ball teas and food. I also learned folk medicine herbal cures for all sorts of things thanks to those two. Later I would go on to study TCM, Ayurveda, and other methods, in a combination to help my myriad of health problems but more importantly to answer that age old question 'what does this taste like?' I never plan on doing much with my medical herbalism knowledge save self medication, but you bet I'm going to share on my blog. Recently due to belly problems I've had to limit my tea intake aka pretty much one session a day (the lack of caffeine is killing me) so I'm drinking a lot more herbal tea and that means inevitable blogs. So #somethingyoudidntknowaboutme 😆 #antique #kitchentool #storytime #brassmortarandpestle
