CONTINUED FROM. @sometimesbatman
stiles stilinski is something that was supposed to be a constant, he’s been around since scott can remember up until college. up until he just ... wasn’t there anymore. they drifted, lived their own lives miles away from each other & maybe a part of him wanted to let it happen. maybe a part of him wanted stiles to be free of the supernatural but this town is a beacon, this town always drags people back.
& it did. after a while, it clearly did. now, he has stiles back, now he’s back. scott & stiles, the dynamic duo protectors of beacon hills are back together, but they’re also back as the people they were before the bite. the two boys who faded into the background, the two boys who were the other halves of eachother long before their pain was rooted in the supernatural ( an abandonment of a father, the death of a mother, too much more. ).
❛❛ i don’t mean ... ❜❜ his chest is weighed down, with something a lot more heavy than platonic love, with something a lot different than the almost brothers they’re supposed to be. the answer stiles gives is good, it eases the tenseness in his shoulders slightly but it’s not enough. it’s simultaneously wrong & exactly the answer he wants.
scott tried to stop loving him, in both ways. it would’ve been easier if he could, then he could’ve stopped missing him, then maybe he wouldn’t be back to his pining ways the second he has stiles back. college was filled with people he liked, people who made him feel normal but no one was him. no one was stiles. no one will ever be his other half like stiles was.
but he lets it go, exhales & smiles, reaching out to touch stiles’ forearm, fingers curling around it before scott’s pulling him forward into a hug. ❛❛ i love you too, dude. ❜❜ more than you know. more than you’ve ever known.
