What if life could be this way? Only the happy parts, none of the terrible, not even the mildly unpleasant. What if we could just cut out the bad and keep the good? This is what I want to do with Violet– give her only the good, keep away the bad, so that good is all we ever have around us.

I look at all the days laid out until graduation and freedom and I feel a strange clutching in my head. They are only a collection of days, less than half a year, and then who knows where I go and what I do?

one thing i learned recently is that there is no shortcut in recovering or healing from something. you have to let your feelings be felt but not consume you. cry as much as you want; it's okay.

until when? i do not know myself. but let it be. one day, your senses will come back to you, and you will feel the need to move forward. when that day comes, don't rush things. one step at a time.

life is not perfect, but it will be better. you just have to take that step whenever you are ready.
