IDK. I asked homie #3 that I talked to on the phone this question (because, you know, Lenovo Customer Support hangs up on me ALL THE TIME) and this was the conversation

Homie #3: Well, by sending in your laptop you agreed to comply with any data loss -

Me: Which I am well aware of but I enclosed a letter stating that the computer contained highly confidential and extremely important files and if anything had to happen to my harddrive, I would like all possible files moved to the new harddrive and my original drive returned to me.

Homie #3: Okay, the things should be okay-

Me: Yeah but you also told me that you would have my computer back in 7 days. I mailed it on February 1st and I still don't have it back.

then he told me he was emailing some dude and I should recieve a phone call in 24-48 hours but if I do not then just call them back which is a PAIN IN THE ASS also there is more to this but I will tell you when I get home

but it basically amounts to the first person I talked to (shoutout to my boy mike!) being really upset that no one had contacted me about the state of my repairs
