Hi, I’d like to ask 8, 9, and 40 for the WIP ask ^_^

8: What do you do to get inspired about your WIP?

I zone out a lot... lol. Maybe one of the most inspiring things I can do is listen to music that reminds me of my story. When I work on things I like to create playlists specifically for them, mostly instrumentals that have moods and sounds that feel like my story... if that makes sense. With Brightvade I’ve made a collection of more symphonic songs, but with some electronic and even metal additions. A few songs have lyrics but I’m more into instrumentals since they help set the mood and are easier to write to.

Haha, yeah I'm 4'11". Stopped growing when I was 9, and I'm 25 now so I'm stuck here lol.

oh gosh, i can see why 5′7″ would seem like a big difference then lmao! i honestly didn’t realize that some people stopped growing so early? :o that’s kind of neat though!

I always look like a ridiculously tiny person even next to my friends that are only 5'7" so I don't think it would be that big of a deal if that's the look you're going for. The diff in head size might be the only weird thing. Maybe ask around and see if someone can do a comparison shot for you?

ah, well that’s reassuring at least! i definitely want to go for a big height difference because i think it’s cute, but head proportions are for sure my biggest concern. ^^’ i’ve already asked one person, but i’m still looking around right now.

02. what is one of your character’s biggest insecurities? are they able to hide it easily or can others easily exploit this weakness?

well, tilly is an easily-overruled sort of little guy, he kind of goes with the flow too much sometimes and he knows it.  he doesn’t like to make people mad ;__;  but because of that he ends up doing things/not doing things just because of that, instead of what he wants/needs to do.  he worries too much about what other people think and he ought to be more assertive.  it was pretty obvious in the ocean (you should really watch out for those sharks) that tilly wouldn’t stand up for himself, but on land it might be a little easier to hide it–i mean, he is a little trickier for land-creatures to figure out.  also, there’s jelly, and she will kill u.

08. what is, perhaps, their biggest flaw? are they aware of this or oblivious to it?

a question for reid!!  <3  i love reid<33  thank you<33  i suppose you could say that reid’s biggest flaw is that he always keeps you in the dark about everything.  he’s very closed-off even though he seems warm, you might never know what he’s really thinking about anything, even if he tells you.  there’s always more going on that he doesn’t talk about, because he wants to keep some measure of control over the situation (the “situation” being life).  the expectation that he might be able to control things that are out of anyone’s control, if he can just play his cards right, usually comes back to bite him.  :’)

32. if your character’s lover offered to take them out on a dream date, what would they want to do?

tilly’s is easy:  he’d want to go back to the ocean for a visit.  he misses home, even if it is full of sad memories.  going back with someone he feels safe with and who could help replace the bad things with sweet, romantic, new experiences would be perf.  ugh gross tilly how have i even created a character so immune to sin

reid’s is difficult because it would never goddamn happen lololol:  lee is a bonehead and even if he gets over his reluctance to even acknowledge that he loves reid, going to a place??? on a date??? is not in his wheelhouse.  reid could take the lead and whisk them off somewhere, though, and it would probably be to a specific glade where the sun comes quietly through the trees, and no one else is around.
