     Lakshmibai peered closely at a contraption of which she knew not the function, resting a contemplative finger against her chin. Visual inspection did not lend itself to enlightenment. Late night work was always big pain, especially when dawn was getting closer, so as your limits. Tonight wasn’t any different at all, so Romani needed every bit of his strength to get through the hardest part. 

“Ah, please tell me there is still some coffee left...” The doctor whined when he spotted da Vinci around the coffee maker, then headed towards her.

even with his clairvoyance and years of studies, romani could not explain why he was here. perhaps a one in a million chance, perhaps the whimsical coincidence of fate. it’s not as if romani could complain - being able to live again, to exist. he can feel that something had happened, that the world was oh so little altered. but he doesn’t know what exactly happened after he disappeared from the temple of time and when he tried to reach chaldea, it seemed that the place was gone.

though he does worry for the staff, something told him they were fine. after all they had her by their side. they’d be fine, there’s nothing that could surprise such a genius after all.

it’s the thought of her that leads him to visit the museum. he wanders around the halls until he reaches a particular floor : ‘leonardo da vinci exhibition’ what a coincidence... with a sigh he enters the room, eyes wandering from piece to piece. even though leonardo had a talent to appear like an enigma, something in her creations always made romani think that truthfully she was an incredibly soft person. perhaps it is the way she captures the most mundane and little details about people...

and then there is this feeling - the familiar sound of heels on floor, the way that without a word, she could fill an entire room with her presence. honestly, fate really has its strangest plans with him, doesn’t it? part of him is afraid that if he turns around she would not be there but...

Then Hakuno and their Servant defeated her, and had gone on to restructure and rebuild the Moon Cell as they saw fit, as was their right as the Victor. So why was he still here? Or Rin? Was there something Twice had missed?
