On December 26 of 1931, the Oldest Latino Fraternity in Existence was established through the unification of entities such as Phi Lambda Alpha Fraternity and Sigma Iota Fraternity. The purpose was to fortify and broaden a network created to serve Latin Americans studying in US colleges & universities.
