Truck Store Recommends... Ralfe Band

The band built around Oxford’s own Oly Ralfe has been steadily building a reputation as purveyors of fine, whimsical wonky-folk for some time now. After touring and collaborating with The Mighty Boosh and recording the soundtrack to Brit comedy ‘The Bunny & The Bull’ the group have knuckled down and produced their most immediate, melodic and charming album to date. Theirs is a surreal, fairytale folk world of gypsy sing-alongs and woozy waltzes which has much in common with the likes of Villagers, Beirut and at times fellow Oxfordian dreamers Stornoway.

Saw the band live last night in Manchester - a magical gig, spoilt only by the fact we had to leave early to catch the last train home.
