Sonic The Epic - Part 1 Troy Saga and Cyclops Saga First part of my redesigns for a Sonic X Epic AU along with some art. As of right now I've already designed all the characters, aside from Scylla and Charybdis (though I already have those two picked out.)

Explaining my picks under the cut vvv

Was SO SO tempted to make this a Shadamy centered AU but honestly Shadow doesn't really match Odysseus personality-wise and Sally being a long lost love just felt perfect. (Sega, let the girl come back into canon) I was out to pick the best fit for each role.

Some were easy and popular picks. Team Sonic as Ody, Polite and Eurylo are just too obvious. Blaze as Athena was great for a warrior goddess, though I also considered Longclaw instead as she already comes with an Owl design and acts as a guiding figure for Sonic.

I opted not to draw any scene from Troy itself, though I imagined it'd be the Eggman Empire and the Horse would be a Badnik the crew hides in. Sage as the Infant extends from that idea.

The Lotus Chao come from Sonic Speed Sim and were a conveniently easy choice for lotus eaters. The cyclops was tough since I wanted a character who was intimidating and related to my Poseidon (so no big the cat) but once I decided on Mephiles for Poseidon, it made Iblis the natural option, though I did alter the design to be smaller and to just have the one eye.
