I think it’s only now in the FE fandom that I’ve really had a chance to interact with you loll. Though if I recall we both rp as Cana in the Fairy Tail fandom, I've seen your writing on the dash and enjoy reading the threads you have, especially with how you write Annette and Ingrid! I’m sorry that I haven’t had the chance to get to know you ooc, but I am glad that we’re mutuals and we enjoy writing the character’s we love! It takes me awhile to reach out but I would be thrilled to get to know you better!

I never make it a secret on how much I love you but I will spare the dash the poetry I would write and talk about your writing; in the many years I’ve known you, your writing approach for any character is so thoughtful and has inspired me to think beyond the surface of any muse. Your prose is really easy for me to understand and you don’t allow your disability to hinder your ability to bring your characterization across your threads. You have grown so much since we first rp’d together and I’m blown away every damn time. I hope to continue to see you grow as a writer and even better as an artist.

they had won.

dimitri had told them they would, had BELIEVED they would & yet a sliver of doubt had always been with him. it had been necessary, essential even. doubt had kept him alive, kept him from being too assured of their inevitable victory.

they had won.

over the course of the next few days, the thought would begin to feel real. in this moment, standing in the midst of a battlefield, armor covered in drying blood, hair & skin hardly better off, it felt anything but.

they had won.

but how many of them had? it was too early to know, dimitri did not know how his soldiers had been faring behind his back. how many of his friends had been as lucky as he was. he saw some familiar faces as he limped away from the massacre; felix’ scowl, a red mess of hair when sylvain passed him by & still, the lump in his throat did not unravel until he heard a familiar voice call out to him.

acting very much in spite of the title he did not yet bear when he half stumbled to hold her in his arms, body aching & both of them a mess, inside & out. it hardly mattered. it did not matter that holding her was less than comfortable, that he had to bend in half to press his face to her hair, to kiss her forehead, the tip of her nose, her lips.

none of it mattered because they were alive & he could hold her.

they had truly won.

aside from felix, apologizing to her was bound to be the hardest, had they not shared too many accidental brushes of hands, too often been caught staring at one another? but five years had been a long time & none of it mattered anymore, he was well aware of it.
