SPRING UPDATE

Hi Everyone!

What a busy start to Spring - just had a couple of great Brisbane Festival shows, one with Sean Sennett's I Left My Heart In Highgate Hill, the other singing with Lydia Fairhall & The Black She Oaks, and I'm currently in the middle of a whole lot of writing.

The release of Songs From The Start edges closer however we have had a slight detour as Joss has had to re-locate and re-set-up his studio which has delayed the final mixes of our beautiful little acoustic recordings. We are hoping to have everything done by Christmas!

In the meantime I'm doing a couple of shows in NSW and Vic next month featuring some of the material from the new record, alongside some of my favourite Australian artists. Don't miss out! All info and ticketing below.

THANK YOU for supporting my heartfelt mission to make a new solo acoustic record of old 60s folk and blues songs I learned as a kid in 90s Brisbane! It’s a very special project for me. While my cohort were off listening to Nirvana I couldn’t get enough of Janis, Joan, Bob and Joni all the Woodstock era gang. I taught myself to play the guitar and use my voice reading song charts in the bottom of my neighbour’s Dad’s guitar case as a teenager…. Then miraculously somehow I landed as a student in the Queensland Conservatorium Jazz department at the end of the 90s and my fearless improvisatory style earned the technical legs required to see me through a diverse 20-year-and-counting career as an artist across multiple platforms and genres. Songs From The Start will be a reflective audio snapshot to mark a very special moment in time for me, a period of artistic and career renewal after a challenging personal period in my life.
