Eddie in the Track Team
[Modern setting, they're like 16-17, Eddie's mother is the Decent Mother Sonia Kapsbrak from my other au.]
He always liked to run.
It was easy and he felt good after.
He was also kind of very competitive.
Not because he simply liked to win, win was nice, but more than that, win meant that he was getting faster, better.
He practiced a lot, he also started working out to improve his abilities.
Red short shorts.
Because of the ours under the sun, he was always tanned. In the summer he practiced shirtless.
He don't give a fuck anymore.
Richie helped him when he practiced alone.
By "helped" it means he chronometer Eddie's time. It was his only job, and sometimes he still failing because he was too distracted by the Red Shorts.
The losers (and his decent mother) were all very supportive of him.
His mother always made sure to put some sun block and extra granola bars in his bag (and fruits, and water, and a little container of soup, just in case).
In his birthday the losers gave him one water bottle for each day of the week.
They were handmade decorated by the losers.
Monday was red with the loser/lover decorations and references of Eddie.
Tuesday was orange with cute puppies decorations and references of Eddie and Mike.
Wednesday was yellow with games decorations and references of Eddie and Richie .
Thursday was green with birds decorations and references of Eddie and Stan.
Friday was blue with bike decorations and references of Eddie and Bill.
Saturday was purple with movies decorations and references of Eddie and Beverly.
Sunday was pink with books and HQ's decorations and references of Eddie and Ben.
Eddie is always super hydrated.
The losers watched all his competitions, they take photos of Eddie's face running and turn it into memes, they cheer VERY loudly and even wear tshirts with Eddie's face memes printed on them. Eddie hates it, but he kind of loves it too.
Whenever he wins the losers go out to celebrate with icecream and Eddie demands to be carried by Richie. "I already ran a lot, i have to give my legs a break." Richie acted like he's annoyed but always carry Eddie.
Eddie keeps all his medals nicely organized inside the shoebox of his first running shoes.
