Her headgear resembles a headgear worn by a statue in Dusty Desert, which in turn makes it simmilar to Solaris' head, implying there possibly being some sort of connection between the two deities, but it's unknown if it's intentional. -Sonic Wiki

Another connection between the two is their split states, with Illumina being split into Lumina and Void, while Solaris is split into Mephiles and Iblis. -Sonic Wiki
